@terrence
The "guy" on the cover looks like a reverse trap. I'm not convinced it isn't a harem with the protagonist being dense and not realizing.Otherwise, I have seen a bisexual harem or two. When it comes to whether the protagonist actually is bi, there is one anime original series which fits.

The "guy" on the cover looks like a reverse trap. This, for some reason I feel like it's an unwanted harem. Harem guy is actually a girl, and she likes her best friend. Wchich would fit the title's "Is it tough being a friend?" to a T.
EDIT: btw, I'm not dissing this, it sounds hillarious and I'd be really interested in this, even more than it just being a harem romcom from the best friend's POV. As a side note, the best friend who gives you all the info on the girls in VN settings is the true MVP of every game, and seeing him end up alone all the time always breaks my heart. To the Sunoharas of the world, I salute you.

The "A Friend" on the cover being in quotes does seem to suggest something too. But I think I'd be more interested in a bisexual harem at that point than him becoming a straight girl and rejecting the other advances / deferring them to the buddy as his harem.
I'm getting my expectations too high after rewatching some of those clips from the anime you mentioned, lol.

He better get a girlfriend before the series ends! And his poor sister too!

True. Anyway, also replying to what @Aruseus493 said in the thread earlier, I also want "Destruction Flag Otome" to be licensed. I also thought Cross Infinite World was going to license this but not yet. I guess.
Seriously though, I love Bakarina. She's dense but adorable
Plus not only that, the series seems to be quite popular, ranking in Ichijinsa Bunko Iris's ranking
And the "For Women" LN category on Amazon Japan
Seriously I'd love to see this series get licensed :3
Also, Hagure Yuusha would be a great license. Akatsuki's freakin BADASS. Plus, its from Hobby Japan. Seeing how "How NOT To Summon A Demon Lord", which is quite ecchi, got licensed, this one would be nice too.
Unfortunately its been on hiatus since 2013 since the author is busy with "Testament Of Sister New Devil".

@kite-xx Knights and Magic even got a anime so there's something
-
@galactuskahn24 although, I am wondering when Knight’s & Magic is gonna get licensed and officially translated. The series got the anime a few seasons ago, and you can find the latest chapters for the manga (digital version) on Crunchyroll. So far, I’ve read the fan-translated versions for the Light Novel, but looking forward to the printed version of this series between fantasy and mechas.

Haven't seen any recent posts for a while, so just dropping by and suggesting a few, kinda dark, light novels.
Yuusha, Aruiwa Bakemono to Yobareta Shoujo (The Maiden called Hero or Monster) 2 volumes (completed)
Synopsis: That girl once called “Hero,”
She was seen as the savior of Humanity, and as the ultimate obliterator of Demons plaguing the world. Her magic was rule-breaking, her healing powers almighty, her weapon mastery unparalleled, and her will was of steel.
And then, she was called “monster,” and her tremendous power and abnegation was feared. Betrayed by her own comrades, she continued alone in her mission. She will not stop until all Demons are eradicated. Killing, killing, killing them all. Because that’s the Hero’s duty.
Losing her past, gaining new companions won’t alter her path. There is only one reason guiding her actions.
“Because I’m a hero.”Shinigami wo Tabeta Shoujo (The Girl Who Ate a Death God) 2 volumes (completed)
Synopsis: What happens when one eats Death?
Personally, I don’t really know. What I do know is merely one thing.
I’m hungry.
Therefore, I’ll take the heads of these guys and deliver them to my superiors.
Surely, I’ll be able to eat delicious food.
Come, if preparations are in order, we depart.Karin wo Idaita Shoujo (The Girl Who Bore the Flame Ring) 3 volumes (completed)
Synopsis: How long I’d been here, I couldn’t quite recall. From this sorry situation, I as always raised my eyes to the sky; a sky in which the great, massive sun was clad in levity. Sunlight poured gently upon all. What a blessing it would have been for the world if only the skies could remain clear. For tomorrow too, and for all days to come, I was to continue to pray for calm. To endure for those who cried, with desperation I remained in prayer.
And then, one freezing, forlorn, soulless, stagnant, drizzly day we died. Or so I thought… -
Requesting Isekai Nonbiri Nouka. It's a simple slice of life series where the protagonist despite being offered high level cheats and such, chooses the abilities to become a peaceful farmer instead. It's pretty much a series about his life in a forest with monster-pals as he spends all his time farming and slowly improving his living conditions. You can pretty much call it Isekai Minecraft. XD There's a manga adaptation with 10 chapters scanlated at the moment which is really cute and makes me want the LN.

Going back to the Destruction Flag novel, this post from Curiosity Cat is relevant:
Are there cases of merging publisher? Will there be drastic effect on the series they published?
A recent example is Kodansha purchasing Ichijinsha. I can tell you that what happened on the international licensing side is that Kodansha's licensing department is kind of acting like an exclusive agent for Ichijinsha now. So ichijinsha still has control but Kodansha acts are like another layer to get through.
Ichijinsha has that out under their Bunko Iris label. But, I don't know if that means Sam has been trying to get in there, and whether that indeed makes it more unlikely (he has gotten Kodansha stuff right?). It seems like it makes it a more complicated process definitely.

I came across the manga recently.
World Teacher: Other World Style Education & Agent

This is the story of a man who based on the memories and the experiences of his previous life, became a teacher who travels through the world with his new students.

@terabyte the light novel for **world teacher ** sounds good, but the manga was disappointing, missing a bunch of good scenes from the beginning and onwards.
-
I didn't like the translation for World Teacher much, but it had some potential.
The whole 'He's basically Japanese Jason Bourne / Batman ... and now he has MAGIC TOO...' is great. Same reason I like New Life+, the protagonist was badass before reincarnating.

Yeah, manga and anime usually cut a lot of good things. That's why I started reading the novels lately, I started with Isekai Smartphone. The anime cut a lot of things, reading the WN I understood a lot of things that didn't make sense before.

Two light novels I'd like to see translated are Rune Troopers (a different take on Gate Jietai) and Goodbye Dragon Life, Hello Human Life (a cool fantasy series with op main character). Both have about one volume translated by different people, but have not been update in quite awhile. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOBK-2149335

Kimi ni Koi wo Suru Nante, Arienai Hazu Datta
Author: Katsura Ikada
Publisher: Takarajimasha BunkoSynopsis:
A plain guy who attends a prefectural high school in Minamisou in the Chiba prefecture, Iijima Yasuki, lived through gray days in his Science class.Despite this, on the last night of the study training camp just before summer vacation, he helped the school’s number one beauty, Kitaoka Ema, when she was in trouble.
Now for some reason Ema has become pleased with him. However, she only talks to him outside of school. In the classroom she pretends not to know him.
Just what is Ema thinking?
There is a hierarchy in the school, with a disparity between a plain-type glasses boy and a flashy-type girl.
Two existences that were supposed to run counter to each other; a passing love story.

Well, I am really curious about this oneSeishun Zettai Tsubusuman na Ore ni Sukuihairanai.
It looks like Oregairu, It's from the same publisher.
Cover structure is way too similar to be coincidence so, I wonder how it is related to Oregairu.

Completed at 11 Volumes
It's a cute as fuck romcom about a normal human and a girl with the "role" of Demon Lord. The way the world works in the series is that there are people born with archetypes which are going to get sent to another world to fulfill their roles. This includes stuff like Demon Lords, Heroes, Necromancers, Mages, and so on. Normal people without "roles" are known as Villagers because they don't really have to worry about getting sent to another world to fulfill some destiny. Those with "roles" are known as "Personas" which are pretty much fancy words for Chuunis. The series is about the protagonist getting close to a girl with a role of Demon Lord while his childhood friend with the Hero role gets jealous. It's a cute romcom with a Demon Lord Girl who's idea of destroying humanity involves a 20 year plan to increase obesity.
From the 15/16 chapters of the manga adaptation scanlated (dead project sadly), it's pretty cute as fuck and really makes me want to read the Light Novel.

@drone205
+1 for Mayo Chiki (I loved the manga and definitely, need the novel) -
@xftg123
Actually, this sounds really interesting.
(Even if it turns gay at the end, it sounds interesting) -
Even Posing as A Hero is Easy would be my suggestion. It's new. Only a single volume
I believe you could keep up with the title as it grows in popularity.
