I thought this Light Novel was already submitted but ... no ... O_o
So i'm trying my luck here !

Manga: The original one is finished (but i think it's only the first part) with some spin off who are finished too.It's strange for me after all theses years ...

- Ochita Kuroi Yuusha no Densetsu, 8 volumes, ongoing (?)
And they're important for understanding the 2nd series.

For the two short stories in Light Novel, was not sure if they were useful or not ... Look like they were ! -
My personal favourite, real magnum opus of Kagami, incomparably better than Owari no Seraph.
I was going to request it myself but Sam has made it clear on numerous occasions that he doesn't really have the guts to risk licensing something like that so I perished the thought. Such a pity, I'm not sure there's a light novel more deserving of a professional translation than Dai Densetsu, but it's too much of a commitment for anyone to try.
Though it would be nice if you add covers, description, links to lndb etc. Noone "neutral" is going to vote for a barebone topic like this.

I certainly remember this light novel, was a little bit too complicated when I started reading Japanese (and still a little bit too much for me now), but the anime series was certainly different. Reminded me a little bit of Aldermin, but much more hilarious in its own way.
It was probably my first introduction to dangos as well

IIRC Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu is fully fan TLed, and Dai Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu is fan TLed till volume 9.

So there’s nothing in the thread about the plot or characters. I happen to have caught a couple episodes of the anime, so I have a bit of an idea about it. Still, I didn’t realize that’s what it was because of the lack of info. Anybody want to sell me (and potentially other forum dwellers passing through) on the series? I wasn’t all that keen on the anime, so I don’t think I’d be a good person for getting others interested.

Wow, it's been a while since I watched the anime but I remember liking it a bit, certainly would check out LNs.
I tried fan translations but I found them hard to read...
