By the way, do you guys know if there's a comprehensive list of YP's "print-only" releases somewhere?
-
@novurdim
Dash X Bunko titles
Gagaga Bunko titles
Log Horizon
Final Fantasy novelsThat's all the Yen On stuff I can think of that lacks digital.
-
I wish Rokka Braves had a digital run. I guess that's Dash x Bunko. =(
-
I wish Pizza Elf had a digital release. Really not worth the €11.63 I paid for that book...

That too. =(
Did pizza elf feel like it should have had more volumes (not in terms of your enjoyment level that it should continue, but just in terms of completing a story?)?
Justus' impressions were kind of middling (3 out of 5 on Goodreads, and he said it wasn't one to feel too bad about not getting yet).
-
@terrence More volumes? Not really. There wasn't much of a story to begin with, and I think the book wrapped up nicely for what it is. Reading the afterword, I got this impression that a volume 2 wasn't even considered... but maybe that's just me. Or maybe it's a simple case of "If it hasn't gotten a follow-up more than a year later, it probably didn't do too well".
The characters, I felt, weren't written in a way that would suggest any future developments. The book being a collection of semi-connected short stories, it never gave enough time or focus to any one character for me to get attached to them. They were just there... So that's a minus.My overall impression is that Pizza Elf is a decent quick read if you're just looking to kill some time and have nothing better to do. Like I did when I visited my grandparents over the weekend.
For me it was like a junk food that gives you this placebo effect that you're eating. Only you begin to realize halfway through that your belly is still pretty empty and you want more substance out of your meal. So by the time you're finished you wonder if it was worth it. -
Cross Infinite World announced a new two volume series, a scifi novel called Beast + Blood. I can't find anything about it (my Google skills are fail). Is it a web novel only?

Yeah, it's so bought. Need more scifi. =)
I really liked what I've read of Emeth so far too.
-
@terrence Thanks. List has been updated.
-
@terrence Didn’t know about Emeth - something new to read!
-
Updated the list with the 3 new Yen announcements.
-
Was the Genius Prince one an LN or manga adaptation?
-
@aruseus493
Only LN (The title is pretty new, actually; so I don't think it has manga adaptation to begin with.) -
