Two New License Announcements!
-
We're proud to announce the license of two more light novel series!
Paying to Win in a VRMMO
and
How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom
These series both have their own special take on their genres, and I think they are super fun to read! Check out a special holiday bonus with parts 1 AND 2 free to read for everyone! -
I'd be fun if you guys licsensed novels other than a game/parallel world setting. I know you have occultic but still... Some slice of life comedy or romance would be fun.
Please correct me if you guys already decided to go with specific geners. I wish you good luck in your two new licensesEdit: Fantasy also seems to be what you've been licensing. Except for 'my little sister can read kanji'.

@ImIlyaz Big Sister Lives in a Fantasy World takes place in reality. Granted, reality where zombies and vampires hide in plain sight.
-
@Terrence so J-Novel's preferences are pretty clear. At least for now. They seem to target fantasy based Novels
-
@ImIlyaz I'd like to diversify away from the fantasy stuff, maybe get something pure sci-fi, but those aren't so easy to find when it comes to recent novels. I'm somewhat limited when it comes to our partner publisher's catalogs on genre fronts.
-
@Sam-Pinansky I see. As long as more novels are coming in the future I'm all good
-
i would like to know how often is the release of each series before subscribing.. is there a page? i cant seem to find it..
-
@Jolan-Cezar-pascua we release each part of a book weekly! You can see schedules releases on the main page or by clicking on releases.
Also volumes are usually 8 parts but sometimes 9 or 10 depending on the book. We keep a 2-3 month schedule per volume of a series for most of our series.
-
As I can't create topics without them appearing in wildly incorrect places I thought I'd just jump in to this tangentially related topic to ask:
can you tease when you might announce any other new acquisitions for titles coming out?
I figure with O;9 ending and Faraway Paladin on a bit of a hold, it might be time for a new one to enter the rotation!
-
@the-green-death we have more licenses yes. I'm working out the scheduling and staffing now, when I have those things done then I'll start teasing.
-
@Sam-Pinansky Awesome!
-
@the-green-death I had the same reaction
-
@Sam-Pinansky I am really excited to hear that, I already think the service is filling out very well and even the current running series will make me drop money on most of them. To hear there's even more coming is really, really amazing.. Well not for my wallet though.

Your site is bogus. Only releasing volumes which are already posted in public manga sites and charging for them. I signed up for a membership thinking you may have the older versions of Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou in the LN version due to japtems recommendation only to find out that you are delaying the posts. Cancelling membership and posting for futur japtem reades to avoid you scammers.

How are they bogus by leagally working with the Japanese publisher to officially bring translated version of lights novels around the world?
And you say "public", don't sugar coat it those are illegal sites that illegally upload translated light novels, they are not doing some great justice for the world just because they site is "public".
How the hell are they scammers they say we release lights novels over the course of a few weeks and then compile them into OFFICIAL E-Books, unless I am mistaken what they have been doing since the sites inseption was...RELEASE LIGHT NOVELS OVER THE COURSE OF A FEW WEEKS, and then COMPILE THEM INTO OFFICAL E-BOOKS
-
@Draco100288 Just to be clear but our translations are completely original and not based on the translations of the WN at Japtem.
We're posting them weekly at a rate of 10 parts for volume 1, so we'll be finished with V1 in ~7 weeks and then move on to V1. -
@Rahul-Balaggan I wouldn't let what he says bother you too much. I'm pretty sure that draco100288 is one of two types: either he is trolling or he hasn't reached a grade where they teach him about how our government system works. Learning about economics would help, as well. Personally, while I don't want to see jnovel lose any customers, I'm more curious to see if he makes good on his promise to leave.
-
I'm with J-Novel because they have excellent quality translations that I want to support.
-
LMAO He starts paying for a service that has no idea what it is, then after realizing that is not what he expected, starts complaining on how "bad" it is xD
I don't think people need to take the comment serious xD -
@Draco100288 You have got to be kidding.
I second everything @Rahul-Balaggan said and boy do I have more to add more on the illegal sites. Most readers on public manga/light novel sites don't pay for their entertainment. As a result, there will be little financial support going for the authors. Put yourself in their positions, would you continue to produce quality contents when you receive no real incentives? Yes your work could be well-known, even well-received and all that, but is it enough to put food on the table?
Not to mention translations from J-Novel Club are top-notch, sure there are a couple of spelling mistakes here and there, but it's not like they aren't putting in any effort. Also their e-books are so good it's revolutionizing the field: high quality images, exclusive extra contents. I am not sure you could get any of these from illegal sites.
Finally, they are improving every single day. The mobile app keeps getting better. Sam is active and friendly (I'm sure all of the staff here are, just haven't got a chance to chat with you all). They look to fix all the spelling mistakes, bugs and problems the moment there is complaint. Again, not so sure the "illegal sites" crammed with ads could afford to be so serviceable.
