(Warning! possible spoilers for part 5 in their synopsis)Publisher: Shueisha (JUMP jBOOks)
Author:
Purple Haze: Kouhei Kadono
JoJo II: Shoutarou Miya, Gichi OotsukaIllustrator: Hirohiko Araki himself!
Why:
These novels take place after the events of part 5 of JoJo. And with it being aired currently, it'd be great to be able to pick these up after the end. The Purple Haze one, containing one volume, focuses on the character Fugo and seems to dive deeper into his backstory (though it does deviate from the manga). The other one, also with one volume, probably focuses on GioGio or the group as a whole. I haven't looked into any specfics or read the synopsis's to avoid spoiling myself, but they were highly reccomended by people who read them (the Purple Haze one in particular). I figure that there's a better chance of Viz picking these up, but it doesn't hurt to post it here.

I combined these since they're both JoJo and from the same part. If this isn't allowed mods, just tell me and I'll separate them.
-
Does Viz licences LN of manga series they have? Because if so it makes sense for them to get this, but I'll upvote anyways.
-
@falcade Purple Haze Feedback is a single volume. There are multiple editions (and later editions have a bonus short story...)
-
Fixed, thanks for the correction! I got confused by the second cover on the lndb page.
-
They pick them up for some but not all of them. They have yet to pick up a JoJo light novel so the outlook is still unlikely all around.

If I recall correctly, VIZ hasn't started Part 4 yet.
So, it would be weird licensing novels of any pt. after 3rd.I think if they are gonna license anything soon, it should be:
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Mayori Sekijima, Hiroshi Yamaguchi)
Based on Part 3
or
Jorge Joesta (Otaro Maijo)
Based on Part 2
But, Viz tried Otaro Maijo before with Asura Girl and it didn't go well...so I wonder if they think Jojo fandom is worth the shot.Titles they may get since they have a sellable author name:
The Book: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 4th Another Day (Otsuichi)
Based on Part 4JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Over Heaven (NisiOisin)
Featuring subjects from Part 1, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 6However, they haven't reached these parts yet.

@drone205
They licensed some of Naruto books and Tokyo Ghoul and NisiOisiN's novel for Deathnote was translated by @doceirias here.Dunno about other shounen jump titles, since I'm not really interested in SJ.
-
@bloodygaikotsu Jorge Joestar draws from the first seven parts, so that would be even further off.
The Book is pretty decent, if a slightly awkward marriage of Otsuichi's style and Araki's (which couldn't be more different.)
Nisio Isin's book is a boring waste of time. It's a recap episode in novel form, summarizing the story we already know from Dio's perspective with like, twenty pages of new content. -

I think I heard the same opinion about his xxxholic book.
I wonder if he shouldn't write manga novelization -
@bloodygaikotsu I translated it!
And the Death Note novel, which is far and away the best of the three.Another Holic was...a challenge to translate at all. I vaguely remember the plot revolving around a code that only made sense using a Japanese cell phone's predictive text...
And spending four hours on the phone with an editor who kept saying, "Whyyyy does he write like this?"
