Opinion On the Series: I like the sound of the Series! I like this series for the mere fact that it's like a game within a LN! Of course there are other Series that are like this but this one sounds very Promising! -
@crossfoxlurk This is a really good series and one that I wouldn't mind seeing get translated. The manga adaptation is pretty good too.

Sound cool, i hope the serie manage to reproduce the salt and despair that come with gacha game, when you roll using all your Quarzt but never get Jalter :'(
Well seem fun, it get my vote ^^ -
Who doesn't love the gatcha pull moment in books like Infinite Dendrogram? And this one is a series of that? I'll throw support in for this. =)

@terrence are gacha just lootboxes with only 1 item(or is it different)?

Pretty much I think (sometimes you get multiple pulls in one I think?). I only really play stuff that has loot boxes you can win freely (like Rocket League and Xenoblade 2 if that counts). I don't play phone games.

The origin of the name comes from those plastic egg things.
"Gashapon" is onomatopoeic from the two Japanese sounds: "gasha" (or "gacha") for the hand-cranking action of a toy-vending machine, and "pon" for the toy capsule landing in the collection tray.

@galactuskahn24 The main difference in concept between lootboxes and gacha games is that lootboxes are usually a reward that has non-gameplay related bonuses, whereas gacha games are balanced around all elements of the player being randomly obtained from the gacha (lottery, if you will). They're usually some kind of RPG, so your entire party is made up of randomly-obtained characters and weapons.

Spotlight time! A friendly bump to an older post that hasn't had any recent conversation and is lower on votes in order to draw attention to it.

This does look like a fun and lightweight series, I think it’d do well in the current market.
-
Volume 7 came out recently at the end of August.
