This is a super charming and chill adventure series. If you like badass and cool older main characters this series is going to be a treat for you. The art is beautiful and I thought this would be the perfect thing to request here as a manga.

Oh yeah it's probably work mentioning this is based off of a novel series.

Was going to recommend this too, noticed this time that a topic was already made.

As mentioned before, this does have a novel adaptation. NovelUpdates marks as it being complete with five volumes, although I cannot find any other sources to back that up aside from a page on Bookwalker. Could be worth checking out too, although it’s more of a novel than an LN.

This sounds fucking cool. We really need more stories with adult MCs, and the feeling only gets stronger the older I get... hahaha... ha...

I read what was available of the manga scanlation, and it was very entertaining. The older MC grants the ability to explore themes in the story not often addressed by younger mcs.

I would also love to see this one translated. Especially the novels.

A series with an older MC would make for a nice change, as others have mentioned. From what I have read of the scanned manga, it also has a feel of a food/slow-life, with some action sequences, which tend to be some of my favorites.

Would also love to get this translated! I couldn’t find more detail on the novel online, but a straight up adventure fantasy with old mc sounds like a refreshing (new to me) take to me.

Completely slipped my mind, but Kodansha licensed this for their K Manga service. So either they or Seven Seas will get volume releases.

Highly recommend this series. It's a thoughtful, slow burn fantasy that swings from cooking/slice of life, to philosophic life lessons, to epic action. A lot of the same qualities that makes Frieren great, with better art! Gorgeous gorgeous art.
