How many Arifureta volumes will there be?
-
If you have read the WN version, can you estimate how many volumes will there be before it gets to the After Story? I'm on volume 6 right now, but if it finishes on volume 8, then sorry xD
-
@tgquan67 no idea about how many volumes (I haven’t read the WN) but at the very least there is a volume 9 that was released in Japan. It hasn’t quite made its way to this site yet, according to Sam due to various circumstances it has been delayed however prepubs for V9 will start soon.

I believe Ningen, the JNC translator, is currently predicting 11-12 volumes? It's still ongoing, so we won't know for sure until it's done.

There are 178 WN chapters and book 9 goes to about 145 or so, and given that book 9 only goes about halfway through the last dungeon you are looking at 11 - 13 LNs in total depending on how much is added to the story.

@antipathy I would probably say 11.

Given that the last dungeon is taking 2 books, I think the last battle alone + the epilogue will take 2 books. Also depending on where the next book ends the lead up to the battle could take 2 books if he keeps expanding on stuff like so far.

@antipathy what about the after stories from the web novels will they be apart of the series or will they keep it out

@rahul-balaggan in June 25, 2019 the volume 10 of Arifureta will come out in Japan. so who knows when it will be translated to english.

The publisher has said as long as Arifureta keeps selling ok/well they will keep publishing it. So there is a very good chance the after stories will get Volumes of there own once the main story is done.
Personally I hope they get put into LN form b/c I really want to read the 2 Lord Abyss arcs in LN format. Those arcs are already great and just thinking what could be added given all the extra stuff in the main story makes me giddy.
