@hiroto
I think it works given the manga (which is still free): https://seiga.nicovideo.jp/watch/mg353542?track=ct_episode -

I think it works given the manga (which is still free): https://seiga.nicovideo.jp/watch/mg353542?track=ct_episodePossible. One argument I have against this theory is the location. Myne's background seems like a window relatively close, and doesn't looks like normal temple room, like HP's or BP's chamber. It looks like Ferdinand's hidden room or Benno's office. And it cannot be Benno's because Myne is wearing blue robe. So it is highly likely to be hidden room.
@b-scot-morgan's theory is more likely in that regard.
-
@hiroto part of the reason for my guess is the scene shown immediately after the image you show. It has the limp Myne being carried by Fran. Assuming those clips are in chronological order....
-
@jcochran Except for the fact that BOTH scenes are after the scene in that clip where Myne turns a tau fruit into a Trombe during the starbinding ceremony. I think the lecture room is more likely, as @LurkingMcLurk says.

@hiroto the note passing from Benno to Myne during the meeting with HP donating 5 small gold.
Good candidate, but it was more of Myne's internal anger, not visible like this. In anime, I expect that scene to be depicted with chibi Myne.
There was some explicit cheekpuffing in the carriage a bit before that. White-and-gold background fits but idk about wood.
@b-scot-morgan's theory is more likely in that regard.
Secret room's window (LN insert and first shot in that PV) doesn't look like this. And most if not all of shots are from Volume 1.

From Kazuki's status report.
Harspiel, imaginary instrument in this world is based on Ukrainian instrument Bandura. In anime, music of Harspiel is actually played on Bandura by an Ukranian musician Nataliya Gudziy, who lives in Japan.
She posted her Myne cosplay for the occasion.

After watching the latest episode of the anime, it finally occurred to me what Myne's highbeast is likely to be.
-
So, i know this isn't the anime discussion area, but this point is for the light novel later on.....
Not sure i could handle that LOL.
-
I moved your post into the anime discussion, whether it will or will not happen is a spoiler to the Light Novel.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Here is an interesting challenge. What scene could this be within the context of P2V1 - P2V2?
Most likely the image is the first time Myne gets to go to the library and someone is complaining about no lunch.

I bet that's her face when she is said by Benno to stay quiet during "Lutz future" talks.

So I'm bad with estimations and I haven't followed the developments with the anime. What's the likelihood the anime surpasses what JNC has translated? How many volumes does part 2 have anyway if we're at vol. 4/x? Is this 2nd season 2 cour?

Many of us here think this anime will only adapt half of Part 2 while J-Novel Club will finish Part 2 in mid May for members baring any delays, so the only way the anime overtakes is if there are major delays with translations and the anime rushes the hell out of Part 2. As far as we know from BD information it's only one cour.

I believe that "season 2" will only cover the first two volumes of the 2nd arc. Major reason is because the 1st and 2nd cours were ordered at the same time and the opening scene of the 1st episode looks to be a bookend with a matching bookend at the end of P2V2, framing the story shown between two matching bookends.
Also for that reason, season 2 ought to be a single cour.
-
I liked how they spent about half of episode 15 covering side-story chapters instead of just rushing full speed into the Part 2 material.
-
@LurkingMcLurk Yeah I was concerned the anime was going to cut a lot of material like the pound cake tasting ceremony and the negotiations between the High Priest and Mynes family, but the way the episode was scripted, it was almost a recap episode without actually being a recap episode. I would have preferred they showed the High Priest negotiating with the High Bishop about Myne a bit more, as it stands it feels like a plot hole for the High Bishop to just take what happened last episode sitting down.

The ending art Ferdinand and Myne. Myne looks like older in this art. Is this from one of the future volumes?
-
@hopebestman Not only does Myne look older, Ferdinand look (much) younger. This is a fan-pic, they've been doing different fan-pics at the end of each episode IIRC. Different artists use different styles.

Should we perhaps have a separate forum for discussing the anime in the light of what is in the LNs, so that those of us who have read the LNs can discuss the anime without spoilers for those only watching? There is a risk, however, that this would suck all the life out of this forum, if 80% of the people here have read the LNs. I suggest keeping it out of the 'members only' section and therefore considering anything beyond the latest published LN as a spoiler.
