When will it be caught up? Whenever they can get to it. Translators are given enough stress with what they do. Compared to sporadic fan translations can be for Series A, J-NC is often faster with an official translation for Series B.

I’ve got at least 10 fan translations on my NU account that have been waiting six months for a new chapter (tbh, about half are stalled at the original author).

It gets worse for exam seasons as MOST translators doing the fan translation bit seem to be in college or uni.

The biggest “pain” for me atm, is when it feels like 2-3 weeks are an eternity between volumes... I assume those are the weeks the translators are working on the extras for the books only, and hammering out proofreaders errors.

          What am I reading?

I'm actually curious about this too, as a new subscriber, do they release chapters for it (weekly?) up until the full vol is released or do we wait for the full vol?

@fuzion they release “parts” weekly, a book can be broken up into anywhere from 8-10 parts (some 6 parts some 12 parts) seirei is usually 8 parts, after the final part is released there is a 1-2 week break (this is not a hard rule just a guideline made off of how it usually works) then the next volume starts translation.

Edit: since you are a new premium member I should point out that you can purchase premium credits at a discounted rate of $6/credit, that is cheaper then anywhere else, then you can redeem your credits on this site for a premium Edition, which is DRM Free, contains the highest resolution images, and comes with premium content not available from other retailers, for Seirei it has bonus short stories not available with the original version.

this is a list of all series premium content

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@Fuzion I was interested in this too so gave it a try.
Considering there are currently 13 volumes out, and assuming they will be split into 8 parts each on JNC (volume 2 and 3 were 10 parts each though) + 2 weeks break between volumes. It should take ~80 weeks to get to volume 13 (1 year and half). Then assuming the author will keep releasing 3 volumes a year and the series doesn't end within the next 3 years; ~8 new volumes should be relesed in Japan before we are cought up. So in total it should take ~160 weeks (3 years).

@an4th vol 7-9 and 13 will probably be 10part one or more because they are so long
And part 11 is the shorter one maybe less than 8 hum
