Dendro's starting up again in January. Just recently got the contract on it.

Some good news for Dendro, yeah. Now I hope for Ragnarok to resume next. I can live a little longer without Unwanted Monologe.

So is Unwanted Undead still cursed?

@infernaldrake if your asking it it continues to be delayed then yes, they mentioned there were more unforeseen circumstances.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@infernaldrake I'm pretty sure Rentt considered himself to be cursed. ;-)

UUA is well named at least. Keeps rising from the dead, thankfully.

                  And yay more Dendro!

This experience also shows some weakness to JNC's current onboarding process. Hopefully this circumstance allows for a better plan to be in place for any future issues.

Unlike my employer who thinks they got perfect and keep throwing me useless people with no clue. ๐Ÿ˜

It feel like the problem (barring external issues) is more to do with the required lead time rather than the process itself.

Sierei is not part of the delayed series, it is the end of the year and the holiday season, please refer to this post for more info. the reason it is not in the schedule is because new volumes are not added to the schedule until the day they are ready for part 1 to go up.

Edit: Volume 8 just finished on the 16th, it hasn't even been the standard 2 weeks yet, but again because of the holiday slowdown it will most likely come out next year

@ramp It probably won't be added until it starts.

                                    Updates

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! - prepublication of volume 3 began on November 29, 2019
I Shall Survive Using Potions! - prepublication of volume 4 began on December 13, 2019
Unwanted Undead ran into additional problems, so we were unable to meet the "resume next week" mentioned originally. We have no ETA for it right now.

So just Ragnarok, Realist Hero, and Next Life as a Villainess left. Personally looking forward to the latter two.

Just stumbled across this old CuriousCat answer. Think it explains quite a bit about delays... https://curiouscat.me/jnovelclub/post/903695529

                                            @melicans

The opening post actually explains why there are delays:

Unfortunately, the editors of these series were unable to continue on the projects, so we have been onboarding new editors. It has been taking time for the new editors to get up to speed, especially in the cases where the series is already many volumes in.

Granted other unforeseen circumstances have cause some series to see more delays, but not necessarily pertaining to the actual volume being licensed.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.
