        Tomboyish girl on the cover gets my vote. I like the idea of this new imprint so I think this would be a nice fit for it.

                all-girl sports anime

                I have to say that I enjoyed Bamboo Blade, (the anime), I haven't read the manga (licensed by Yen Press) ...yet
                That being said, I don't know how many all-girl sports anime there are, is that even a sub-genre??

                I read banned books

                    I can think of two others: Harukawa Receive (Seven Seas has the manga) and Hanebado.

                      I quite enjoyed Harukana Receive. Hanebado was good but not great. Long Riders was another good female sports anime and same with Minami Kamakura girl's cycling club.
                      Im curious to know more about this novel(?). Is it like other female-focused sports stories without romance or is there romance tossed in?

                        In addition to what everyone else has mentioned, Hachigatsu no Cinderella Nine, Taisho Baseball Girls, Scorching Ping Pong Girls, Softenni, and Saki all come to mind...

                          @hosikuzu

                          and Keijo!!!!!!!!

                          (only partially kidding) yes, more fanservice than all girl sports - but (the anime at least) actually touched on some issue-based content/themes in a relatively mature way

                          I read banned books
