I too liked this episode. While it doesn't follow the l8ght novel directly, it still hots allmthe important parts. I like how all the adventurers came together to help Ryoma woth his shop. I felt that it gave this episode a really nice feel and I liked that.
-
I noticed this in the previous episodes, but it was definitely obvious in this episode. They're bringing in the other characters and taking internal monologue converting it to dialog between characters. It's adding some plot holes due to Ryoma talking about past life things that were never originally part of the original novel, but I think in terms of anime, it's better than listening to Ryoma monologue the entire time.

I just keep liking this anime more and more. It's not perfect, but I haven't seen a perfect anime yet so that really is just a small complaint in a see where there could be many. I really liked seeing how everyone came out and supported Ryoma both in his business and in his advertising.
The little bit of romance that they are pushing in the anime between Ryoma and Eliaria is cute in it's own way even if it wasn't as prominent in the light novels as it is here in the anime. It's the anime's own little unique twist and I think they've done a good job with it so far. It's not over the top and is very innocent in a way that it lightens the atmosphere of the anime and just makes it a pleasure to watch.
Then there's Miya who has basically taken on the role of the proud older sister looking out for her younger brother. She was never as close to Ryoma in the light novel as she is here in the anime, but I think that it does a lot to drive home the anime's overall family type feel that they appear to be going for.
I just can't wait to see the next episode where the rest of the staff come to work at Bamboo Forest. I'm sure it will be good for at least a couple of good laughs. Especially with Fay and Lilyn.

@lighthawk96 Yup I'm with you. Yes there are changes but I think they're doing a fine job and I'm enjoying. I kind of like the handling of Ryoma & Eliaria and love the expanded Miya role. They both highlight the warm family feeling.

Ah it already time for the final episode :(
I really enjoyed the anime and thought the changes they made weren't too bad to help the show flow easier.
I do hope we get a second season sometime.
-
I really enjoyed the anime. I thought that it was nice for what it was. I really hope that there is a second season, but for some reason I just don't see that as a reality. Though, I may very well be wrong here, and I hope that I am, but I just don't see it as a enough of a standout to get a second season.
-
@lighthawk96 Unfortunately I agree
I hope we are wrong and will get a second season, but I don't think we will.

@jdmmis
Right. Reality and fate can be all to cruel sometimes. But if Arifureta got a second season, as terrible as it was, then it definitely isn't impossible. -
@lighthawk96 Very true
I really enjoy the LN of Arifureta, but I had so many issues with the anime. I still watched it and enjoyed it for what it was, but the anime for this was so much better than Arifureta.

@jdmmis
Agreed. Unfortunately, most of the anime today ends right as the story is either getting good or about to take off. "Smartphone" and "Death March" are two really good examples of this. I would have loved to see either one of those get a second season but that will not happen. But then again, some series just keep going and going and are frankly, terrible and boring due to their repetitive plotlines. It's really sad in a way, but I do agree that this anime does deserve a second season, unlikely as that may be. -
2nd season coming or not, I liked the anime. It was somewhat more 'cute' than the LN, and they simplified the plot (and subplots) somewhat, but, I believe they captured the overall story and tone of the LN pretty well. In addition, they did a good job of advertising the LN/Manga (how good of a job I guess depends on sales). If sales/ratings (in Japan) are good enough, we'll se a 2nd cour.

Agreed. Unfortunately, most of the anime today ends right as the story is either getting good or about to take off.This is what worries me about the upcoming "So I'm a Spider " anime. I love this series, it's my favorite non-JNC title, but I would say the story doesn't really get better than your average LN until volume 4 or 5. I'm just praying that the anime does well enough to get a second season so we can get to the good stuff in the later volumes.
-
Overall I liked the series, but I do have one complaint. Given that the vast majority of shows only have one season, the final episode didn't really feel conclusive to me. I think it would have been a little better for it to lean more into the idea of 'this is the end of this chapter of our life and the parting is bittersweet.' Instead, it felt more like 'well this chapter of our life is over, let's just look forward to what's coming next.'
-
@lighthawk96 100% agree I would love a second season of those 2.
-
It was definitely a lot of fun and I'm definitely hoping for a second season.
And I'm with @Lily-Garden about spider one of my top faves and it really needs multiple seasons to get to the good stuff.

-
I mean, I don't exactly hate the story or the anime... But there are so.many more recent anime.that need a second season before this...
-
I haven't read the most recent volume yet, but it sounds like season two is skipping to far past where the light novels currently are (in English at least)
-
Maybe, but a lot of it ends up depending if the first season of those anime achieved the objectives the people funding the project wanted. That could be anything from overall merchandise sales, DVD/BD sales, LN sales increase.

To be honest I'm not sure the author's web novel is even that far ahead yet....

I certainly wasn't expecting this one of all things to get a second season.
