Likely OS/Browser dependent issue. トニカクカワイイ works fine for me, on MacOS with safari and chrome.
-
@_08 The editing restriction was only meant to be for new users, but someone set the reputation required to become "old" to
100000000
. That has been changed to10
, and editing limit is now 24h regardless of whether you're new or not. Thanks for noticing -

I mean it still looks pretty useless. People used to add things to the first post all the time (hell, that's an official way to get your info about prepub expiration and premium extras) but they can't do it now and it's not like everyone was pulling some grand scams that they can't do anymore because of 24h edit limit.
-
It was my call to shift it to 24 hours, we will just get take away the timer
Edit: "new" users will still be subject to the 24 hour rule. After a users obtains 10 up-votes they will no longer be considered new

@Rahul-Balaggan In other words, just enouh time to remove anyone who wants to be a nuciance.
That works.

When reading forums in private mode on Firefox, consistently get "It looks like your login session is no longer active, or no longer matches with the server. Please refresh this page." This takes a minute or two to start, but seems to be every five seconds thereafter. Refreshing the page doesn't change anything other than remove the message for five seconds. This may be intentional, but is really going to mess with my routine since I use history to track books I want to read if I ever find time.
-
@pleco_breeder Is this a new issue? It may be also a result of Firefox increasing their anti-tracking capabilities, especially in private modes. It doesn't sound like an issue we'll be able to solve without modifying the NodeBB (forum software) code, which I'm not keen on doing. I would suspect someone has already reported the issue to the NodeBB developers, and they are either working on a fix or there's nothing they can do about it. If you want to report that to them, that's also an option

@chocolatkey
Not sure about a private window (testing it now), but I did have the same issue when I tried to access the forum using firefox from a phone. It works just fine on my tablet, however.
The phone is a Samsung J7 Luna Pro running through tracfone.

@chocolatkey New in the last week. Work schedule doesn't let me get on the forum too frequently, but I normally do most of my surfing, with exception of member only threads because of log-in requirement, in private mode. This only really became obvious yesterday.

I have topic "Sort by" setting set to "Newest to Oldest". When I jump to a topic from "Home / Unread", it jumps to the bottom of the topic, which is the oldest topic.
@myskaros, could you take a look at this? Only happening to me? It is super annoying that I cannot jump to new posting with single click.
-
myskaros doesn't deal with the backend ( @chocolatkey does)
That aside are you saying that when you open a topic it goes to the end of the topic, to the latest post?
Or are you saying something else?
-
@Rahul-Balaggan I just tested with yours
When Sort order is set to "newest to oldest", using "unread" to jump to the page still jumps to the very bottom (under this sort, the oldest post), instead of changing to the top.
-
@Rahul-Balaggan Exactly what @piisfun said.
-
It is only an issue if the sort order is inverted.
That said, I have no idea how you would handle it if the third option, "most upvotes," is used.
-
accually , even when you write a comment , after you push "submit" in the up right listing as "2 out of 34-35-or X" become "X out of X".
So sorting order is not the problem accually , listing goes to the bottom after a slightly change.
Edit: Another thing is , notifications not turn off after clicking the "notification" its still gives the numbers. you have to click "mark all notifications read" thing for turn off. -
@chocolatkey Just checked, and after 20 minutes of the same private window, there were no error messages. Apparently, the issue has been resolved.
-
Is someone looking at the problem about Pissfun's note. After 3 days , it still annoying problem.

Regarding these sorting issues: I encourage people to report issues with the forum functionality (not appearance or styles or anything JNC-specific) to the authors of the forum software here: https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/issues . I will try to make time to look in to such issues, but I would have to spend a decent chunk of time getting familiar with a completely new codebase when I already have many other site issues to deal with, so I can't guarantee non-critical complaints will be addressed quickly. For anyone who does want to report these issues, we have the following setup:
NodeBB v1.13.2 with the following active plugins:
