I finished first volume and now i am reading second. Do you have any warnings or heads ups? If that series goes like first and second volume, it would be my second favorite series in JNC.
Although i am a first timer, i would ok to get spoilers. So if you wanna give some info, while putting on spoiler tag, i wouldnt mind to read. Or discuss :)

Pretty much stays on the same path
- lots of world building (Dungeon Building...?)
- not really a “harem” story. (This is my opinion like there are some subtle hints here and there of some romantic interests, but the characters pretty much agree that this is a 1 Heroine type of situation)
- it is lewd, that ain’t going anywhere
So yeah the first volume really gives you a strong impression of what the whole series is about, if you enjoyed V1 you will continue to enjoy it going forward.

The overarching theme of LDM is that, whatever scheme Keima comes up with to minimize his profile in the world really works to strengthen it. He continues to be a formidable opponent to those would challenge him, though creative use of "limited" resources.
And yes, the dungeon battles continue for a while...
As for the harem aspects, there are, as @Rahul-Balaggan says, a great many places where everyone assumes a harem exists. And Keima admits that he's attracted to aspects of other characters (Haku, for example). But, doing anything about that attraction is, to Keima, frightening.
Given other novel series, though, he does "have a harem", in that he's surrounded by women who are interested in getting a piece of him.

Haku and Rokuko are frightening because of the high chance of death, but for the others thoughts of romance lose out to getting more sleep :)
I'd say that while all of the volumes have some dark moments and dark humor, volume 1 got the darkest with the bandits' treatment of their sex slave and the harvesting of adventurers. There is one later volume that gets close to that but I won't spoiler it.

I think i read that part. And honestly, it was more darker than bandit sex slave part. Damm...
