Since we have a post for the WORST manga art, why don't I start a post for the BEST manga art? Post some of the best series and artists you know and people may not know with the best art that you've ever seen!

I'll go on a limb and say the artist behind the the the manga "Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?" is extremely talented. A very ecchi manga, but man, what an artist. Just a new manga that recently got a weekly series. The artist behind "World End Harem" is pretty good too.

I'm rather partial to people who can draw characters very well.

Not sure if I've ever thought about what I consider "best" per se, but I can name some artists that stick out in my mind as exceptional to me, at least.

        • Yamazaki Kore (The Ancient Magus Bride, Frau Faust)
        • Kusunagi Mizuho (Yona of the Dawn)
        • Sukeno Yoshiaki (Twin Star Exorcists, Binbougami-ga!)
        • Amyuu Sakura (Kono Oto Tomare!)
        • Maybe (Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, Tales of Wedding Rings, To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts)

Also, moving this to the manga subforum instead of the web novel one :X

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

Vinland Saga has some breathtaking art in it at times. Stupidly detailed and gorgeous. Few others, but that's just what pops in my mind off the top of my head.

Land of the Lustrous by Haruko Ichikawa has some of the most beautiful art I have ever seen. The use of white-space in the landscape shots is truly incredible. The only artbook I've ever bought comes from this author, Pseudomorph of Love

Princess Jellyfish by Akiko Higashimura also comes to mind. As a story with fashion as an important element it is important to nail that sense of style, and she does so brilliantly. Also, she does a great job with facial expressions.

Speaking of facial expressions, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War by Aka Akasaka has incredible reaction faces.

Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama has incredible art as well; Shirahama-sensei mentioned in the afterword of vol 1 that the inspiration for this series came from a causal remark made by a friend that "the process of bringing an illustration into the world seemed just like magic"

Of course there's also JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki, which is famous for its character poses.

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky
