Synopsis:
Leons Forester hears a voice that says, "I will give you special abilities and a little of your memories of your past life. You are free to choose the life you wish to live. I look forward to watching the life you will lead."
Leo is the third son of a noble in the Vector Empire. He initially couldn't understand the people around him and eventually understands that he is back to being a baby. It takes him awhile to understand that he is the youngest of 4 siblings (2 brothers and a sister). He notices that there is magic in this world and desperately wanted to use it too! He eventually learns the language and starts crawling to the library and points to books for the maids to read to him (these are basic magic books). The maids thought he was an odd baby, but the entire family dotes on him. He crawls to the library desperate for books on magic. He continually practices circulating his magic as a baby and he feels it getting stronger daily. A few years later, Leo is brought to the church for an aptitude test and finds out he has rare creation magic! His family was disappointed since creation magic is seen as useless (creating products that are as large as a thumbnail) but he could make his future as a knight. Determined to learn creation magic, Leo practices and finds out that his huge amounts of magic power allows him to create small items and artifacts. He is only level 1.
My overall take:
Yes it is a stereotypical Ranobe genre LN. But Leo does find out that he is the grandson of a summoned hero from Japan. His grandfather and a group defeated the demon lord, but left the holy country due to various political intrigue of the church. He became a noble of another kingdom and married the magician of his group. Leo has to go through the school of hard knocks to get to being strong. It was not given to him, he had to work for it. Plus there is enough political intrigue in the background while he is growing up and that he must adapt. His power is recognized by his family and the royal family, and he can be a master artifact craftsman of legends and potentially a hero greater than his grandfather. -
5 volumes in Japan so far, published by TO Books. But holy shit the page count is huge. They’re all like 450-500 pages each!

@Zing Yeah, my biggest concern while checking out the manga was that
Yeah, it seems like that will be the case. This is no World Teacher
While I like creation oriented protagonists, I personally prefer 29-sai Dokushin wa Isekai de Jiyuu ni Ikita type of story more.
