Yesterday I’ve started reading the fan translation of Crystal Dragon and was really intrigued by the story and the art style. Now that’ve gotten hooked on such old manga, I would love it, if you could recommend me more.

For me one of my favorite shoujo manga is Red River, if you haven’t read it you should definitely give it a crack.

Tokimeki Tonight/Throbbing Tonight. Ugh I got nostalgia just by mentioning it. I thought it was very good if you can get past the first few volumes. I don't know if the current translator will translate all 40+ volumes, but it's worth a try.

Not my genre and the only 2 I know are fairly young. "Honey and Clover" and "Maid-Sama".

Old ones could be "Wish" from Clamp and is Utena a Shoujo Manga?

@saskir I would like to second that recommendation of Maid-sama and add Ouran High school Host club and Kamisama kiss. Also the manga for Bibliophile princess (conveniently right here on J-novel.club) has a very old school shoujo feel.

Oh, Red River was already mentioned, I’m too late.xD
I could absolutely recommend Ouke no Monshou, Hakushaku Reijou and Alfheim no Kishi. Ouke no Monshou is running since 1979 and is actually the third bestselling shoujo manga ever in Japan. Unfortunately all three manga aren’t completely fan translated and I doubt an english publisher will ever license them, but they all are definitely worth reading. The art style of Ouke no Monshou and Hakushaku Reijou is quite difficult getting used to at first, but after a while you get so drawn into the story and the old, but pretty art style, that you can’t stop reading. I’ve also never cheered so much for the protagonists and cried with them than in these three manga (although for the first two their naivety and goodwill can get quite annoying sometimes).

Oh, and since no one else has mentioned it, Fruits Basket is another series that I would wholeheartedly recommend.
