Ascendance of a Bookworm- Weird Theory

Don't read if you haven't read up to at least the full first two parts and hate spoilers.
Alright, so we've established that Myne needs a certain amount of physical contact overtime to remain emotionally stable. Right now, she's got 'Lutz in her hidden room' time and 'Ferdinand in his hidden room' time. Now that I write it out, it sounds wrong... ANYWAYS.
When Myne turns 10, I imagine she'll have grown used to the lessened amount of physical contact but will likely still need a certain amount. Here's the $1,000,000 question: When Myne goes to the Royal Academy, who will provide her hugs?
Both Lutz and Ferdinand can't go there and she won't be able to just find a random student to hug. That kind of relation among nobles is rare and difficult to trust. The only person I can think of is Wilfried. They're about the same age, he kinda respects her now, and with some character development, I guess they'll start getting along.
Hehehe it's funny imagining this happening the first time. Will Ferdinand give him a warning and explanation beforehand? Will he figure it out as he tries to calm Myne down from something that unleashes her mana? How will he feel about supporting her? Is he the tsundere type? Now that I think about it, is Sylvester a tsundere..? Ignore that, it's just fun imagining all of this
What do you think? Yes, no, maybe so?

Interestingly enough, the two people who she's established Hug Time with both know she has memories from another world... So obviously, from our data group of two, we can conclude the next person designated with administering Hug Time will also know of this fact. And if Wilfried does continue to work to become archduke, it's probably the sort if information he'd need to learn, so I see it as a distinct possibility.
Although if that ends up being the case, I imagine there might also be a jealous Cornelius wishing he were a few years younger.

Clearly it'll be New Character Poochie </sarcasm>
For real, though, I can actually see her trying to get one of her noble retainers to do it, since they'll be at the Academy at the same time.
-
@TheGrimLich as long as you're mentioning Poochie, maybe she'll invent the Teddy Bear or hug pillows.

That is not information you leave with a child, despite being fast tracked to be the Archduke. He is a spoiled child, he would eventually blurt it out at the worst possible time.
But she also has 3 years to 'ween' off of all the hugs.

Well what do you do in this world when you need a companion to hug? You get a pet, usually a cat or a dog. So in bookverse world it would be a shumil.
-
I'm pretty sure since an average noble kid can't wipe their butt on their own, she'll be able to bring some of her retainers. Maybe Fran or one of the others could if she is that in need to contact.

But as Rozemyne is the shumil she'll need to become someones pet for hugs.

hug pillows
That look like Ferdie!
If you think the posters of Ferdinand sold well, I can only imagine how crazy this sales idea could end up...
And dangerous, too! Every noble lady in Ehrenfest, secretly spending time with her Ferdie body pillow in a way reminiscent of Albedo from Overlord with her Ains pillow would likely end up super-scandalous.

@grobinson2k1 Obviously as he is right now he’s nowhere near trustworthy enough, but there’s years before they go to the academy, and most Bookverse children are much more mature than modern kids of the same age. I don’t think it’s implausible for Wilfried to grow mature enough to keep the secret by age 10, although just because he could keep it doesn’t guarantee they would tell him.
It’s hard to imagine her weaning fully off hugs, but it is possible.

Considering the blackmail leverage she has on Damuel, the choice of someone both accessable and silenceable ought to be obvious.

Honestly i think he'd take the bullying from Sylvester over that.

This raises a good question: I agree they're more mature than their modern, real-world counterparts. But are they also more mature than kids of that age but from different cultures/eras? I'm sure we've all heard it argued that children mature faster when they have notable responsibilities, especially ones borne out of necessity, a reality much more likely in the past. Likewise, I've heard it described that too much responsibilities early on robs them of the time to be a carefree, playful child by forcing them to be a small adult instead.
Then again, there's also this:
“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”
This line, often mis-attributed to Socrates, was a compilation of common complaints about children from numerous ancient Greek writers (and was put in this consolidated form in a 1907 dissertation). It shows that the complaints we have about modern kids are truly timeless, which would therefore suggest that the Bookverse kids really are distinct.
Also, get off my lawn!

It seems pretty comparable with children during the era of workhouses. They still act like children or play but it's something Myne glossed over like many other things. Tuuli did have a doll and the gathering in the forest is a combination of work and play.
In regards to maturity it's not only responsibility but also a side effect of modern education. As the time spent in education increases infantilisation of the population occurs. It corresponds with responsibility but there are other factors at play.
In the bookworm universe commoners don't attend school, They learn a trade in work.
Looking at the noble children we've seen their pre-academy education instils politeness and reservedness around authority but they do seem less mature than the commoners.
The temple orphans are an interesting case though that gives them a blend of immaturity & naivety combined with total obedience to authority. Once they were allowed to go outside they've acted the most childlike of all.

interesting question.
Yes she will need allies to support her from others but well first she has her brother Alfread or whatever his name. Second, they need to pick their retainers before go to school so that they can work with them in the school. So she will have people working for her. For hugging tho, she can make a hugging pillow. She is japanese right.

I think Rozemyne wil just use the teleportation circle as a 'normal door'. Since it's powered by mana, she will probably be allowed to use it as such if she uses her own mana. For normal nobles this will be unthinkable because of the mana cost. But once she has cured herself using the 'potion' she probably no longer feels sick when using large amounts of mana and might become even more powerfull. Although it's never actualy said, it's pretty much shown that she most likely has more mana than Sylvester and Ferdinand combined. Wich makes me guess that after the Royal Academy her position will be of 'princess' with Ferdinand as her most trusted attendant.

what if ferdi comes as an instructor (hug problemo solved) .. also this is feasible since he is pretty much a master know it all of everything ..he might visit R and W as a part time lecturer and have to score them impartially ofc on some topic or other eg: potion making ..and imagine all the other older girlies swooning not to mention the female teachers especially over his guest lectures ahem his cutesy face ...and hopefully there is a nasty female teacher who hates ms.R (mebe his ex -girlfriend from the academy days that he was with for a short time...??) and gives her impossible tasks that she probably almost gets hurt in and ferdi pretty much blows off this pretty but crappy teacher pretty much setting her on fire for endangering R and myne ultimately showing off her harry potter knowledge and successfully completing the impossible task albeit with a little last minutes ass saving from ferdi ... i lurve this universe and ...i would love to see a scene like this.... insert heart eyes here...
