After seeing this last episode of the anime, I want to see Latifa’s reunion with Stewart. Yet, that is a long ways off.

I doubt we get any kind of revenge unless Stewart start messing with Latifa again. Stewart must be a colossal idiot if he starts messing with the adoptive little sister of the black knight.
The best we can hope for is that Latifa's identity gets revealed and the duke start sweating bullets.

@gamen
That's disturbing and feels really wrong. And yet still a satisfying end for all his scheming. -

@zing On the flip side assuming theories about who sired her are correct,
Hell will freeze over and heaven split asunder before author will let protagonist get hitched. Even more unlikely is a harem ending.
-
@zing I'm pretty sure Rio is strong enough to singlehandedly cause both of those events... whether he's strong enough to avoid getting hitched is still up in the air.

Ok so I finally watched the anime, thank you @Lex for the recommendation, and I have to say, it’s not all that bad. It doesn’t have any pacing issues, and generally keeps to the big bits of the story. My only issue is they kinda gloss over the whole Fever dream miharu thing and explaining spirit arts but, I don’t know if that’s knit picky of me.
(Fair warning, profanity inbound, apologies for the strong wording)
What I will say though is that the anime really reminds you that the Beltrum kingdom are a bunch of fun assholes, I was watching and could only think to myself “wow FUCK these people” and to think Haruto just saved them from sheer collapse. Now I’m here hoping that after the slumber party and short reprieve for our vengeance seeker, he just said to those people that he really doesn’t want anything to do with them, because I for sure wouldn’t piss on any of them if they were on fire in the side of the road (except Flora because she really did try her best, Christina also might get a pass, I haven’t calmed down enough yet). -

They've done it with a few series I've looked forward to over the last couple years.

@thomask
I guess coming from reading the light novels, which contain all the smallest details it seems like a drop of the vast bucket of story. I will say though, that once the story reaches the point in which it really slows down the anime will probably seem on par, seeing as how later in the story only a bunch of minor things that, if skipped, really wouldn’t take away from the story. -

RH has its own issues though. >.>That isn't to say there are actually noticible pacing issues - the anime does seem to flow well enough, and I'd probably struggle to point out anything they have skipped that is particularly significant - it just feels like they are pushing through things way too quickly compared to what I am used to with anime adaptations of LNs.

@aerosatar
Well feasibly speaking there are 16 volumes of content to get through for SG compared to 14 volumes of RH. While that doesn’t seem like to much, SG has a few areas where skipping things doesn’t really hurt the the story to much where as the first 5 volumes of RH really have a lot of important things (to me) that feel like it left out would make the story more confusing. That is not to say that they’re both perfect, the is a few flaws that I would like addressed, one being SG explaining a few more things and exploring character a little more, but I don’t expect that to be realistic for an anime.Also anyone else run into that feeling of being a picky connoisseur of anime because you read the LN’s? Like I feel like I enjoy anime less if I have read the LN first, one example was Arifurta. I really enjoyed the books but when it comes to the anime, I was just so uninterested that I couldn’t even finish it.

It might slow down a bit, and it might just be my own view of things, but that is how it feels to me - hence, 'rushed'.

To be fair, the Arifureta anime changed so much that it isn't really a good idea to try and compare the two. I actually saw the anime first, which then led me to pick up the novels, and I far prefer the novels - the anime adaptation was really poorly done, IMO.

Oh yeah, this is me. Nowadays I prefer reading rather than watching since I can get through more content instead of waiting for a week.
I made an exception for Seigensou because it's a high priority series for me. Like hell I'm going to miss its anime adaptation.
-
Hmmm, they jiggled a few scenes around in this episode, so I am actually not sure I enjoy it as much compared to how it was written in volume 3 (one of my favourite arcs strangely enough).
-
Here I was wondering how they could reach volume 5 with only 3 of the 12 episodes remaining and thankfully they decided not to rush through 2 volumes.
However with the amendment at the post credits of volume 9, it appears to suggest this anime will be a 1 season wonder and no more since we appear to be missing the entirety of volume 4 (a volume which would have needed at least 4 episodes to do correctly I think if it was to be multi season to lay the groundwork for the series post volume 7)So onwards to the Silver Bride Arc. Changes in episode 9, using rice cultivation was a mistake I thought, made it harder to justify Sayo tears compared to non water based agriculture. But that's only a small change. I also missed the Konoko interaction from volume 3 which I thought emphasised her cuteness factor. Kawaii is kawaii really

@custodes Hopefully if they have an other season, they will go back and do book 4 at the start of the next season, assuming the next 3 episodes cover book 5.
If that is the case it should not have much effect on the story.
-
It feels kind of odd to do things out of order but it makes sense, volume 5 will make for a much better climax for the season and even though Miharu and co were introduced in volume 4. All that really happened with them is that Rio moved them to the Spirit Folk village as fast as possible meaning we can save that book four for later. Hopefully we can get another season one day to properly adapt volume 4.
Actually I'm kinda curious how they would adapt that since now Celia would be travelling with Rio when he meets up Miharu's group, maybe that could lead to some new fun character interactions .
