As a digital publishing company, we're almost obligated to do something for Cyber Monday! So here we are with some digital deals for avid readers!First, a premium credit sale! Until Thursday, December 3, premium credits are $1 off! This means members can buy them for $6 each and premium members for $5! And not only that, the credit purchase limit is increased from 10 to 100 during the sale!
Don't worry, we've got something for non-members too! From now until December 3, all volume 1s are on sale on Google Play at 50% off, and other volumes are 20% off! (Applies to all volumes released before October 28, 2020.)

@myskaros Hi. I tried the sale but I got mixed results. Limit still at 10 and displayed amount still 60. However, I seemed to have been charged the proper sale amount on my card (Around $66 canadian).
Edit: I forgot. Thank you for doing this!
-
@drugan Try doing a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R), I was getting the same thing as you but a hard refresh updated the price and purchase limit.
-
@myskaros As odd as it seems (it was my first time ever in the credit screen), it worked. Thanks.
-
@drugan So you can understand why it behaved that way, here’s an explanation of what’s happening:
The j-novel website uses a coding framework called ReactJS. In that, most of the code that a visitor’s web browser needs to run is packaged up in advance and provided when you first load the site. This makes the site much more responsive, as when you switch pages only the dynamic parts need to be loaded each time.
To increase efficiency more, browsers often save the reusable parts of a website so that you don’t have to load that again each time you visit. And that’s what’s happening here: the page controls that list the price per credit and the transaction limit are using that saved value.
The server still checks to make sure the values are correct when you purchase, so you can’t just change them on your end to get a cheaper price (which would also be why your CC was still charged the correct amount), it just displays wrong on the screen.
This is why the “hard” refresh works. You’re forcing your browser to ignore the saved copy of the code and get a fresh version, including the updated credit price and purchase limit.

@mystyk Thanks for the explanation.

Phew, last year's 40 credits were down to single digits for me, so grabbed 50 this time.
A few of the series I follow are ending but I've picked some up too, so rough enough good enough for another year I hope.
-
Let's see how quickly I can spend 50 credits.
Edit: Currently at 15, debating a couple series still.
Edit2: Done at 8 remaining. That should be enough to tide me over for a while.
-
I had just spent my last credit from the 60 I bought from last year, so I bought myself 100 this year.
-
I've gone for
75100 credits this time. Let's see how long they last... -
Just got 200 and going through my follow list now to grab everything I've wanted throughout the year. I hope it's enough!
-
Currently debating how many credits I would like to pick up. There are so many series :).
-
@myskaros I just tried to purchase credits and showed $1000 per credit.
-
@captain-moroni It happened to me once, you're likely not properly logged in, and if you're on the beta website make sure that you're also logged into the regular website too.
-
Hmm, always have to decide what I want to get when this sale happens. I bought twice as many credits last year as the year before, but I've still gone through essentially all of them. Might end up just going strait to 100 this year given how many new series got announced this year.
-
On my side, beta website does not show the right price (7 and 6$) while the "old" website does show the sale (6 and 5$).
-
To make sure I'm reading this correctly - Thursday (Dec 3) at 2pm the sale will still be going on?
I'll still be able to take advantage of this on Thursday?
-
@wolfpack ....and that is why the sensible thing to do is use 12:01am or 11:59pm to remove all ambiguity
-
@wolfpack Whoops! We usually do 11:59, so we'll have to remember that in the future. It's ending on Thursday night at 11:59 PM Pacific time, so yes, you should have all day Thursday to take advantage of the sale.

Originally bought 50 credits, but then added another 20 as a precaution. So a total of 70. I imagine I'll use a lot of them to catch up on series and for any future licenses.
