These are the top books that struck my interest the most I’m alphabetical order.
Abducted Princess Running Rampant: Wielding Forbidden Magic in the Demon King’s Castle
Going by what the announcer said, I was not aware that male targeted light novels starring female protagonists have been trending recently, but if that is the case I welcome it as I am typically drawn to stories starring a female protagonist.
I am all down seeing this princess breaking free from the forces that confine her and working towards carving her own path in life. I resonate with something like this.
Fluffy-Eared Realm Restoration: Taking it Slow With My Cool Big Brother
The cover art is adorable. Another story of a character working towards changing the outcome of her life, and with this one it’s the protagonist undoing the unfairness that was given to her so I can get behind that,
Long Story Short, I’m Living in the Mountains
With a title being the way it is alongside seeing three huge, unusual chickens on the cover I assumed this was another Isekai story at first until the announcer read the plot summary. The rustic aspect of this story, or the protagonist learning how to live in the countryside, got my attention perhaps because it kind of reminds me of playing farming siniluatiom games.
My Fiancé Cheated, but a New Love Rings!
The idea of the protagonist leaving her old life to be in a relationship of her choosing is nice. I did actually read the first three chapters and I took from it that both the protagonist and her live interest started off being forced into roles without any say in the matter, so I was thinking the story was going to be the two running away together away from their chosen roles and creating a life of their own choosing, which I am all for. However the story does get sappy which was both underwhelming for me yet funny at the same time. I see it’s going to be one of those romance stories. I will continue to read this to see where the story goes. I will also be checking out the manga adaptation to this as well.
My Tiny Senpai
When this was announced I was thinking the time was familiar and it was then I remember that this got an anime adaptation a while back, which I never watched. Since this manga is being streamed here I now have an incentive to give this a try. My interest for this primarily boils down to the love interest (or heroine as she would be referred to in Japan) given how hot she looks despite being petite as well as the potential of seeing the romance bloom between the main characters.
From reading the first four chapters I felt it was alright but it’s not clicking with me so far. It did have me giggle in some parts however.
The Tiny Witch from the Deep Woods
I am interested in reading stories involving witches, and I like that the title is simple instead of being overly long.
The Villainess is Dead! Long Live the Empress! Redoing the Story After a Poisonous End
From the summary of the plot this does look like this is not going to be a typical villainous story as the announcer pointed out. It’s not even an Isekai given there is no mention of the protagonist being reincarnated into an Otome game or Fantasy book like with the other villainess stories I have read. It’s also not one of those stories in which a character is sent back in time in order to fix whatever problem that had led to their downfall despite what the title says. It’s really just a character restarting life outside her country of origin, which makes this more grounded in a way compared to the other stories of its kind.
Also the plot summary for this is good, and has me interested as a result.
