@raddevlin Ya I don't like manga that much. If I'd rate it, I'd say Anime >= Light Novels>> Manga. I don't know, I just can't seem to enjoy Manga that much, maybe because I read my first Manga when I was a kid(I did not know about these japanese stuff at that time) and I saw a Naruto Manga, I was disgusted with all the blood I saw. I used to hate blood back then, I even remember getting laughed at one time. So maybe because there is some bad blood between us. That or because it's in fucking black and white
But now the only time I read Manga is when I HAVE to continue a story from the anime, that or because it's ecchi ahah. Like I'm planning to read Hunter x Hunter and One outs. I was reading New Game! But no progress seems to happen. The ones I currently read are "Why are You here Sensei?" Spin off of Golden times (ecchi) and Masamune-Kun no Revenge, I just had to know how it ends. I refrain from reading things that have a on going anime, example My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan... I'm bored, so this wall of text is just me trying to amuse myself
-
Masamune-kun will never end unless the author stops with all the omakes and writes the actual ending.
You should give "Grand Blue" manga a chance. I am pretty sure you will enjoy it. Everyone I have recommended it to have loved it.
-
@Hakomari I'll check the synopsis right away... I hope you're right.
-
Hahaha, don't check the synopsis. It is supposed to be diving/sports manga but the author trolled everyone lol. I don't want to spoil it, so just read the first chapters.
-
@Hakomari ahah okk I was a bit turned off by the synopsis xD. I get the feeling I'd do the same if I was an author π
-
We totally got trolled... Diving my ass. It was more like diving in spiritus. Naked.
-
@Hakomari ah I'm loving it up til now at leastππ. The guys, although annoying, can be really funny hahah. But the funniest had to be how his cousin flat out rejected him hahahah. I'll be continuing this xD
-
The first chapters are really slow and average (compared to the rest of the manga) so I was actually worried you wouldn't like it haha.
And God do I love Chisa(the cousin). She is my favorite Kuudere character ever. Like No fucks given.
-
@Hakomari really? It gets better than this? Oh God I can't imagine it ππ. I'm enjoying the comedy like hell.
-
Hmm for me I, I've only been reading, "The New Gate" as I feel it's interesting and volume 6 just finished getting translated. As for my choice of content it's like this : LNS>Anime original>manga/manwhas>anime. I tend to avoid anime that I read the LN for because 20 minutes most of the time isn't enough time for it to be comparable. Although their are some anime that do a amazing job like "spice and wolf", Re:Zero and a few others. Also anime is last cuz it's less creative to imagination, as I picture characters differently in my head than anime/manga. lol I'm picky to the point I try to avoid illustration. My favorite illustrations so far are from Faraway Paladin, they meet my imagination.

My death flags show no sign of ending. - Forever top 3 for me . Best MC personality and his cursed permanant tsundere skill, Best heroine's personality compatibleness, Best wingman casts, best transported to game world as villian genre (shoujo/josei excluded)
-
I Got Reincarnated And Mistaken As A Genius? - funny as hell when MC is oblivious to how others have mistaken his actions as genius.
-
Isekai Tensei Soudouki - Here we have an MC with 2 other personalities from his previous life, AND those personalities stay dormant for the most time ! what this mean is the MC is still retains his self-ness as a child born from that world while only handing over the right to control his body on rare occasion. I ended up buying the Ebook version to read at a snail's pace since the fan translation was put on hold

For those who want to feel good and warm inside plus if for those who are lacking sweet in their life you just need to read this.
Hokuou Kizoku to Moukinzuma no Yukiguni Karigurashi
-
@NeoAnkara alright I'll try it and update you on the "possible outcome".
-
I'm reading quite a number of WN's and LN's, but the one I've put the biggest emphasis on is Dungeon Seeker by Sakamoto 666. The story follows Takeda Junpei, a high schooler who is constantly bullied who is summoned to another world along with childhood friend, Noriko and the bullies because God said he was "bored". Some time later, Noriko is sentenced to go to a labyrinth that no one has survived and Junpei takes her place and is quickly betrayed by Noriko and Kida (one of the bullies) as they throw him into the labyrinth where he becomes possibly the world's strongest as he seeks revenge.
As read on and on I quickly became able to sympathize with Junpei in the vulgar way people from his world treated him and the way people from this world are treating him (A girl tried to cannibalize him...well, too bad that his flesh is quite posionious.) There's a manga adaption out as well.

@AratashiKun becomes really strong in a dungeon... Revenge. I haven't read any yet, but doesn't that sound like a mix of Shield hero and Arifuretra? xD. The description was very captivating too
-
@ImIlyaz The beginning is much like a mix of Rising of The Shield Hero and Arifureta...but from there it goes into a route I didn't expect as much. A way darker tone that either of those had or planned to even go into.
-
I've been reading two Korean light novels lately, Your and My Asylum and Dungeon Defense. I believe there are 3 and 4 volumes translated respectively. They are Isekai, but they have deep, serious plots.
-
@cole-seeley I'm also a fan of To Deprive a Deprived Person. I love it when bad people suffer.
-
@brojou-sama Have you read Id-The Greatest Fantasy Fusion? It's also a Korean novel and my favorite. Tragically the company ran out of business.
-
Heh, Dungeon Seeker sounds nice, I've recently got into those dark isekai revenge stories, like Nidome no Yuusha and Kaifuku Jutsushi, so that's another one to add to the list.
