I just bought dungeon busters volume 1 on amazon but when I went to read it the contents page said it was only a preview and that there was only 28 pages and when I compared it on ibooks it said the page length was 400 pages. Could you please fix this as soon as possible please. Thank you.

It seems to me that Amazon delivered the free book preview as the paid one.
But on the shop page it is also listed as only 28 pages long.

        Please fix the upload.

I know it's not what you want or are asking, but... I'd recommend buying from anywhere other than Amazon. I think the sooner you leave that ecosystem the better, especially for LNs and LNs like this one. But if it's a choice of Amazon or nothing, I guess go Amazon.

          My order of preference:

          • Premium
          • Bookwalker or Kobo
          • Play Books

Normally I would put Bookwalker after Kobo or Play Books since it's so heavy DRMed and restricted to their reader, but sometimes they have exclusives that isn't available in the other stores.

@Dracon186 @Xcevion Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do on our side; we uploaded it last week but the listing still says "Under Review." I would talk to Amazon support to get more information or request a refund. Sorry for the inconvenience!

@Khaos Yep especially when the premium version has so many exclusive short stories.

Wait so Amazon sells the preview as the book? Or does it get updated?

I was curious why it's at 1/5 stars, interesting that such an error happened. I imagine it'll be fixed eventually, and when it does get fixed I'll go ahead and buy it.

It's the very definition of a first world problem, but just like I want as many games as possible on Steam, I want as many books as possible on Kindle. It's just easier, I don't have to remember what I bought and where. I'm also worried that if it's not the biggest platform, there's a chance it eventually fails. I would hate to buy books on a website that goes under in 10 years. Digital products are already a bit sketchy because you don't truly own what you buy, but it's cheaper (especially with light novels and manga) so it's my go to choice.

Either way, I look forward to the full version being released on Amazon. :)

And this would by why you should buy it here. No license you have the digital book on your HDD without any DRM. Except a HDD crash or a virus nothing can steal it from you.

Might I humbly suggest that JNC add to the FAQ's on the new site a step by step of adding premium volumes to Kindle accounts (like here). I also suggest (assuming it doesn't create logistical nightmares/costs) that JNC have downloads of .MOBI format in addition to .EPUB for premium volumes? Bezo's might not like it, but why not make it easy for members NOT to have to rely on amazon for purchases?

                        I read banned books

I guess I'm going to have to repeat myself. I want as much as possible in one place. DRM-free is nice, but I'm not buying from GOG and splitting up the location of my games because of that. I don't want to have to remember what I bought and where, I just want my entertainment to be easy. All in one, primary place.

Just wanted to alleviate one of your fears and show you another way. I did not overread the other part of your posting.

And besides Amazon is maybe not the best choice when it comes to LN. They have banned some books in the past. Not that you coulnd't download them again. But you would never get updates unless you buy them again.

I had to contact the support of Amazon to get a refund of the Kindle book, due to a bug, that said that I only could give it back until the 10th December 2020 (around 2 weeks after my pre-order)
The shop entry now lists the book with the correct page count, but I've tried to buy it again and the presented download is still the bugged one.
I don't know if you can do something about it, maybe uploading the correct version as a book update might help.

@Xcevion Problem is a publisher can not do much. It is all part of how Amazon handles it.

Ultimately JNC provided Amazon with the correct version per the last staff post, it's Amazon's problem if they can't get their act together. In line with advise I've seen given to other people who face this sort of issue with amazon, your best bet would probably be to get a refund and buy the book from another storefront. Otherwise there's not much anyone here can do about the problem, so you'll need to deal with Amazon's customer service to resolve it. I believe other people have been successful in getting Amazon to push the correct version of the download to their kindles, but it seems to be a very hit or miss type thing.

@jpwong Only thing that truly helps if you have problems with Amazon is to talk with someone over the webchat. Till now I had 3 out of 3 problems I ahd with amazon solved over this (if it is not a simple return/refund matter)

@saskir I don't doubt it, it's way easier to explain what the problem is over live chat than it is through some sort of form. From some of the other topics I've seen here about this type of problem on other ebooks, it seems like a person's kindle keeps trying to redownload the version of the ebook it originally downloaded even if there's a new version on Amazon's server (which would explain why it keeps going after the pre-order preview rather than the actual novel), so I guess you'd have to hope you get an agent what needs to happen on their end to force the kindle to redownload the latest version of the ebook.

It may be a case that you need to update the book on amazon's web site. It you go to the main amazon webpage.
Open the menu "Account & Lists" then select "Manage your Content and Devices".
This will bring up a list of your ebooks.
Find the book in the list, and it should have a link below it "Update Available".
Click the link and then select the Update button.
Finally re-download it on your Kindle.

@KBaggy Oh wow, thanks for explaining that, sounds like it would be a helpful FAQ item for people buying from Amazon.

@Xcevion Does the solution that KBaggy just listed above get you the right version onto your device?
