Epub books overwriting each other
-
I just downloaded Ascendance of a Bookworm books 2 & 3 from Part 3, and when I try to install either of them on my Aldiko Classic reader on my phone, they are overwriting book 1 from part 3. Reinstalling book 1 overwrites book 2 or 3 that had been just uploaded. Is there is an issue with the identification issue with the 3 books from this part of the series?

@elkensteyin Have you tried it with another epub reader to verify that it is not the reader?

I've never had that problem with JNC epubs using MoonReader Pro on Android.
It might be to do with how your reader interprets the epubs in line with what @jampodevral suggested.

I've always used Aldiko on phone and Calibre on PC. Do you have any recommendations for Android epub book reader apps?

OK, just tried installing Moon+ Reader, and have the same issue - so I think I need to remove all the books and reinstall them

@elkensteyin I use the google play books app. Upload them to the account and then I can read it on both the app and desktop and it will sync the reading positions.
It's organisation isn't as good as others though, but never had a problem with books being over-ridden. -
First of all, what do you mean by "reinstall" and "overwriting"? Epubs aren't programs, so normally there's no need to install it.

At least for my copies, the epub files have separate dc:identifier fields, so there shouldn't be anything weird for Alkido to get confused over there.
I like Moon+ and Librera for android epub apps, though Google Play Books is also nice, especially if you upload everything there.

I assume this has to do with the naming of them. Kinda like the reader only reads the first letters and dissmisses anything afterwards. This is why I rename all my Books to
"Name of series - Volume #: Title of book (if it has one) [Premium (if it is one)] [publisher (as I also have the fantranslations, some times I find the fantranslations even better like for Overlord)]"
So in the case of Bookworm (and sorry, am at work so I can not be 100% sure of the Volume Number)
Ascendance of a Bookworm - Volume 09: Adopted Daughter of a Duke (Part 3) [Premium] [J-Novel Club]
Makes it also easier to sort them in any reader. Also it makes the naming sheme equal for everything. If I recall my copy from Amazon it normally says "Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 3 Volume 3 (Light Novel)". So maybe it always things Part 3 would be the Volume.

I like MuPDF. It handles epubs. It is free open source software available through FDroid.
