Altina Read Order?
-
So 2 volumes of Altina are releasing today and since they are being released at the same time there doesn't seem to be a clear indicator as to what should be read first.
Altina volume 8 or Loose Threads? -
@timmaaah read Loose Threads first.
-
@wellwisher Thanks :)

Just to be clear... make sure you've read 6/7 first, then loose threads, then 8.
Takes off Captain Obvious hat
Most of it doesn't matter but the last of the loose threads stories is concurrent with 8 so there it actually does. And that same story spoils stuff in 6/7.

I think that things might have been much simpler if they simply called it Volume 7.5: Loose Threads.
-
@shiny That's exactly what I was thinking of posting. I've been calling that volume 7.5 from the start. 😅

Volume 4 is just as much side stories as Loose Threads is. In fact, Loose Threads is continuing a bunch of the plot threads from volume 4 (they were left loose after that, hence the book name), before those plot threads re-intersect with the main story in Volume 8. So yeah, I concur it should have been labeled 7.5 or something.

@pcj Well, according to Loose Threads,
The fourth volume became the story of Third Prince Bastian, but that one was also initially intended to be no more than a short story. Auguste’s short story was received quite favorably, so Bastian and Elize’s became an entry into the main series.
So, in short, after releasing Felicia's short story online, the good reception got Bastian his own entire volume. This is nepotism.
