What's your favorite Light-Novel genre?

@sparhawk6 that illustration is sick!! Might give it a try just because of it.
-
@ImIlyaz It is a dark fantasy but I definitely love it. Just that translation process sucks. Last release was in January... So there are just vol 1 and start of vol 2 translated. But if you want I can give you link for all illustrations of all volumes till now.
-
@sparhawk6 I'd be more than happy xD
-
@ImIlyaz Okay, you have it in your chat.
-
For right now it is probably Isekai, but that is probably just because that is mostly what we have for right now that I like.
To be honest I would like to see us get more Rom Com / Harem Comedy & Slice of Life stuff, so it could possible change in to those if we start getting more of those titles.
-
Putting genre aside cause I will read anything that has a good solid storyline, I would very much like a food related light novel.
Automation baker from BookWalker sucked, I hope pizza elf from yen is good, and otherwise I just hope JNC licenses a food related LN in 2018.

Fantasy, whether Isekai or traditional doesn't really matter, though I do prefer the traditional style. And lately I'm getting hooked on the darker ones, it all started with Goblin Slayer...

Sorry if I've asked before, but have you read Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers yet? That's a nice change of pace from typical Fantasy since it's got a mystery element.
I still gotta get to volume 3. Volume 2 was really good.

Not yet, I did watch the anime and loved it though. I was waiting for the novel releases to overtake the anime so I could binge read it. So vol. 2 was out already?? I believe the anime covered only the first volume, crazy right?? 12 episodes for a single volume. No wonder it was so well paced and written. I believe the only other series that has ever done that is Magical Girl Raising Project.
Aaaaand I just found out there's no e-release for the series... FUCK.
-
I voted for Comedy / Romance Comedy / Harem Comedy - sometimes that overlaps with isekai, sometimes slice of life or action etc - but comedy specifically is what I'm after. RomCom, Haremshite, or no romance at all, I don't really mind.

I know. It sucks. I like to listen to these books text to speech, so that is disappointing there's no easy way to do that.
And yeah, I gotta get to Raising Project myself. I finally got motivated to pick up my Psycome reading again with volume 2, so I'm going to try to read as much of that series while I'm motivated to do so (the impressions on Goodreads are very hit or miss with that).

@paulnamida
Have you thought about trying World End, the anime was ok-ish and the novels are way better.
I believe I read somewhere that it got licensed by yen press for an official translation but haven’t seen anything about it’s release. -
@rahul-balaggan Although it's an isekai, I'd like to see JNC license Restaurant to Another World.
-
@catstorm you mean SukaSuka?? yeah, I'm reading that one atm, halfway through vol. 2. The anime was great and I'm amazed at how much they cut from the novels while still keeping it coherent.
-
Yeah that’s the one, I thought I would just use the generic English name so it would be easier for you to find.
The anime only covered the first 3 volumes, which is a shame because I feel the 4th is the most interesting.
