After finishing volume 9 of Another World Survival, I feel compelled to drop a spoiler-free hint: some of the world building that might seem contrived or unrealistic in earlier volumes such as the white room's systems suddenly makes perfect sense after the big reveal in v9. Which should not be mentioned here in any form to keep it a surprise :)

Absolutely. I had a suspicion after V8, but was off by a bit to the truth.

New license announced and released today - Observation Records of My Fiancée (light novel), Vol. 01: The Misadventures of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess. The plot summary sounds a bit like Lady Albert volume 1 with a "villainess" who fails miserably at villainy.

It's already available at Amazon, B&N, Kobo, Apple, Google. You can also buy titles DRM-free directly from the Hanashi Media store, but there is sometimes a day or two lag from release date before their own store is updated.

Hanashi is experiencing some difficulties with their store's pre-order functionality.
My current recommendation is to not pre-order, just wait for it to 'go live' within their store...which may be a day or so after the official pub date.

They're a young firm and still have some growing pains, as it were.
They do seem to have a commitment to quality, as evidenced by going back and re-editing a couple of volumes.
...yes, one could argue they shouldn't have needed re-editing, but there's a certain level of trust one extends to staff until they prove themselves unworthy of it...I give them points for looking into it after receiving feedback and doing something to fix it.

The transition from producing fan translations to licensed translation is a rocky one, and they seem to be handling it fairly well.

Minor note, they announced the license back in April.

@GeorgeMTO Actually, I remember it on Amazon back then, too. Two volumes were listed at the time.

Another Alphapolis title. Looks like I’ll have to go to Hanashi for all of their series, especially given how reticent Alpha has been about entering the English market.

I’ve read the manga for this one and it was really fun

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

@Geezer-Weasalopes Yup. Also I notice that they'll announce the availability of things and links to order in social media first at amazon, then other places and often very lastly their on own site.

And often quite a while after it's been available elsewhere they don't have it available on their own site. So I've had to reach out to them a couple of times about having things available to purchase on their own site, then they apologize and do it.
