Series: The Isekai Deconstruction

Maybe people don't know this series, The Isekai Deconstruction.
It's about a normal guy who's reincarnated into a fantasy world, except without 'real' powers. He does have a strange power, namely that of survival by making the right choices... except that he's still plunging himself into trouble time and time again.
After a difficult start (as a war slave), he becomes a mercenary and travels the world, from one war to the next.
His life is very hard, and that's reflected in the titles of the books. My Life In Another World Sucks
My Life in Another World Is Awful
My Life in Another World Hurts
My Life in Another World Is Dreadful
My Life in Another World Is SickeningThe way the wars and fighting is described goes into plenty of detail and is very interesting.
There's also plenty of betrayal and adversity.
There are plenty of beastmen in this series. His best (and only) friend is actually a Serpes, a big intelligent snake.Well anyway... I think it's a pretty cool series and if you like the kind of books where the protagonist is plunged into trouble and adversity, then this is an interesting series for you.

That's a new one: an Italian author writing isekai LNs in English. The kindle version of volume 1 is only $1 and you can get a free sample so it's a low risk to try.

Hm... yes... it's not even 1 euro. It's very well written, though. The English is good. The author also researched wars I think, and he made a well-written adventure about a mercenary/war. It's very interesting, because even though it's set in a world with magic and beastmen and such, it's pretty realistic and you can actually learn some things about war from it... maybe world war one... with the poison gas and trench/artillery warfare.
After part 3 I was afraid maybe he'd stop writing more volumes, because the price is so low, but to my delight he kept writing more. I think he writes it for fun, not for the money. -
This description reminds me somewhat of the description of the 1999 Isekai Anime Now and Then, Here and There. Unfortunately, I've never watched it, as it went out of print with ADV Films' bankruptcy.
