Acquisitions Speculation - General
-
Yen Press licensed The Eminence in Shadow
-
@tremorc this one is completed with 7 volumes total and ended while back in 2013!
-
@kino this one I am really intrested on, a laid back zombie apocalypse comedy sounds really fun

@tremorc said in New Acquisitions Speculation General [9 NEW AQUISITIONS ANNOUNCED (5 MANGA, 4 LNs) 1 LN Unconfirmed!]:
Yen Press licensed 'You Call That Service?'
I've really enjoyed Killing Slimes for 300 Years so I'm looking forward to this.
-
Seven Seas is announcing one new Light Novel on social media tomorrow.
-
This is quite an interesting thread, don't wanna keep my hopes up but I look forward to the reveal for the titles of the LNs

Anyone have a LNDB page, or even the JP publisher’s page?
Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@doublemangekyo many thanks!

Hmm, that Seven Seas licensed novel hasn't been updated since the 3rd volume in October 2018 (appears to be a novel-novel and not an LN, so not too unusual to be spaced out longer).
Main character is 42? I definitely could use more mature heroes.
The publisher isn't a usual suspect it seems too. Lots of their popular line looks to be BL.
-
This looks interesting to me as a 40-something dude Who used to play D&D.
I feel Seven Seas has been putting out a lot of great stuff. They may actually have the highest LN hit ratio for me. I follow Average Abilities, Toradora and Classroom of the Elite. There’s a few others they have that I’m excited to start too.

Does anyone know when we can expect "The middle age man" serie to be released?
Do you like death, war and misery ?
Do you like badass op loli who let nobody got in their way ?
Do you like vengeance story?
If so then then vote for The girl who ate a death god -
@raitoiro Last time I asked in Discord Sam said it got delayed a bit because of his mistake (so TL start got delayed). I guess we should be getting it anytime now though.
-
speaking of new licenses, didn't Sam say during the last announcement thing there would probably be a few more series announced later in the summer? Around when would that be, most likely?
-
@yumenokage There will probably be announcements at AX.
-
@myskaros
thanks. I remembered some event being mentioned but couldn't remember what it was. I'm not really in a position to travel around to cons so I've never kept track of them.If we get some there, then it'll be just a bit more than a month. :)

It looks like the Oregairu light novels are finally having a digital release on June 25th:
Which would also mean that Shogakukan is finally open for digital releases.
I can't see any preorders yet though. Although there are for the manga series, which is also getting a digital release a week earlier.
It's perhaps a bit too early to tell, but I hope it's correct. Have been waiting for them for quite a while.
Quof got a break.
WHAT'S THE STORY WITH THAT FREAKING BLACK DRAGON?! -
can we update the title of this thread? I keep looking for a specific JNC release announcement based on the topic (I think the original 9 are old news now, yes? ) Maybe "new releases, announcements and speculations"
-
@jon-mitchell Thy wish is my command.
