Don't forget Square Enix since they recently announced their entry into Manga/LN Publishing for the English Market.

One day, Kino's Journey, one of these days... ;_;

dargonsUnited

I know some people are going to be super hyped about bunny girl but overall this set of announcements seems super disappointing to me.

Here's what Viz licensed for those who are curious.

Viz Media licensed these manga :

Reiraku
Itsuwari no Freya
Pocket Monsters Special
Kirby: Art and Style Collection
The Art of Junji Ito: Twisted Visions
Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare
Jigokuraku
Ao no Flag
Transformers: The Manga

kino

@dargonsunited I stopped caring about convention announcements a few years ago. We're in the internet age, there's no point to delay an announcement for a convention that has limited exposure vs. the unlimited amount of people that can share something instantly through the internet at any time.

YP licensed the manga for Kono Yuusha ga Ore Tueee Kuse ni Shinchou sugiru. This is the one that has an upcoming anime in fall.

YP also got the manga for Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita.

novurdim

Sigh, in a better world Seishun Buta would be licensed by JNC and we wouldn't have to wait 6-9 months until the very first volume. Oh well, at least it did get licensed, maybe my hype won't die down as usual by the time YP actually releases something.

Hyperion

I'm happy for Bunny Girl Senpai and that's it for me from Yen Press. Viz made me even happier, Blue Flag and both shoujo series for me.

Zing

Predictable and safe picks from Viz and Yen, boring if anything.

Eternal Wanderer

Happy to see Bunny Girl Senpai licensed at all but would have preferred someone other than Yen Press license it since there releases are glacial.

sniper_samurai

@eternal-wanderer And they don't release their stuff on Google Play.

Terabyte

@eternal-wanderer They're still better than Slow Press at least 😜

Yoshken

@rahul-balaggan yeah I was still stuck in line just to get in the con

Yoshken

Yo you guys are right about Yen Press they have a lot of good series but waiting 4 months at min is hell

Village Idiot

@sniper_samurai.?

Their series are on Google Play.

Wandering Witch is really good. It's magical Kino's Journey. Highly recommend.

the green death

@yoshken I wanted to hit the Yen panel too. After 3 1/2 hours waiting for badge pick-up that there was a glitch on and the prospect of another 3 hours in line to fix the glitch and then another god knows how many hours to get in, my fiancé and I just decided to skip AX and try our luck at refunds.

Last time I’ll ever go. It’s pretty fun when you’re in, but the logistics were a total mess this year.
