@Lily-Garden From its licensing suggestion thread (which I assume is partially info revealed on the stream, didn't watch it myself)
When and what part of the book will be streamed is not determined yet, according to the announcement.
Print will be available Oct 5, 2021.
Subsequent fan books will be worked on at the right spoiler free timing

(the post above this one also has a cool graphic from the stream you may enjoy too) -
so, my next question is when will the special, limited edition, 4-hole tortoise shell "stab" bound, version be released? (preferably on archival/artisanal mulberry paper)?
-
@Lily-Garden Indeed, I've only recently caught up after the last round of licences.
-
@Lily-Garden
I feel your pain. I too have been struggling to keep up with all of the series that I'm following, so getting a short list was a bit if a relief. I'm to the point now that if certain titles that I REALLY want to read come out I will have to sit back and decide on which titles I will inevitably have to drop. It's a sad reality that I am and most likely will have to face. -
I just found out that Culinary Chronicles is from Kadokawa Beans. So this means Kadokawa titles are not as untouchable as people used to believe? Can I start hoping for more licenses from among these?
-
@nofairytale
It's not that Kadokawa is 'untouchable'. It's more like thanks to JNC's track record they can finally step into the negotiation table with Kadokawa. -
I hope Tentai builds up a track record enough to do the same. (Obviously going to need more staffing to reach that point though, and we need to see if they can capitalize on their success with Side Character with future romcom).

@Lily-Garden I would be happy with a little bit more. I currently have 20 light novel series in my library and 5 light novels have already ended (well, besides one novel they got more likely canceled by the japanese publisher) and 4 are ending soon.
@lighthawk96 If it's about physical books I could so understand you, but if it's about ebooks, I can't get enough.

@Liber-Monstrorum
Neither can I. But it's not about storage space, it's about the lack of time in the day and dollars in my wallet that is POTENTIALLY holding me back. -
I wouldn't mind having had a few more announcements, with a number of my follows about to or actually are caught up with Japan, I foresee myself going from too much to read to too little to read soon. I also can't imagine that fanbook getting much of a prepub (if at all). How many parts can you split a QA into, since I don't think they'll put up the images.
But if Sam's in Japan for work, maybe we can look forward to another set of announcements in a few months. Not like they need to hold back announcements for anime cons this year. I'm really hoping JNC can pull a surprise reveal that they've opened negotiations with AlphaPolis since the last "update" on the subject that seems to be around on the forums is from years ago that they wouldn't even meet with JNC to discuss the possibility of licensing anything.

I‘m quite curious how many new light novels we will get on Friday (hopefully more than just two) and if there will be more Heart titles.
-
@liber-monstrorum It's unfortunate we don't have anything to speculate from, it's usually fun and builds anticipation. This time we can only wait.

@nosgoroth I hope this isn‘t the only license...
-
@liber-monstrorum It's not a license, it's an April Fools joke that contains hints for tomorrow's licenses.

@nosgoroth Ah, I completely forgot today’s the first April. Now I understand. Thanks for telling me. But honestly I don‘t seem to find any hints.😅 But the story seems quite interesting actually.
-
@liber-monstrorum Try reading the actual part ;x
-
@myskaros I‘ve already read it and I‘m still totally clueless.😅

only thing that stood out for me was the line about the fat loser noble that gets an ok marriage... So maybe Piggy Duke? Although on re-read it says low rank noble rather than loser so maybe a Duke is out...
