Acquisitions Speculation - General

@Terrence Wow, now that I think about it it's so obvious haha, now I feel stupid not figuring it out xD
-
Yeah, that's how I felt. I thought it was Sponger Life just cause Queen rule and Isekai, and then someone pointed out the Spongebob (I even read the hint in the Spongebob style, but I was hung up on pineapples and the sea, lol). Tbf, I only had about 10 seconds to ruminate on it before seeing the guesswork.
I'm pretty happy with this slate if my two guesses and Sponger are proven true. Other titles just going to be the icing on the cake (I wouldn't mind that one you guys are thinking may be hint set 5).
-
Hints aside, on which day are these new licenses being announced?
-
@Terabyte The stream details are all on the announcements page.
Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.
-
@Terabyte Lol it's at the top of the hints page https://j-novel.club/announcements
We'll be streaming these new series announcements live on Twitch at 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST on Friday, November 13th.
So 18 hours from now when this comment was posted.

So that's why the 2nd hint is a Spongebob reference.
Honestly, I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. -
@myskaros @LegitPancake Ops, thanks. I read the hints here in the topic without checking the announcements page this time... 😋
-
@Terrence if this is indeed the case then I will be over the moon for this release! I've been hoping these light novels got licensed.
-
It's the final hour before showtime, last chance to place your bets! 😁😄
-
Best guess I saw for 1 from Discord was World's Greatest Swordsman Became A Mage. (Parents think their kids are always the world's greatest, trades in sword for magic).
The parents hint would be a lot funnier if it was World Break though.
-
I missed most of the podcast due to work. I saw "Apothecary", "Ideal Sponger Life" and "Ms. Elf manga". What were the other 4 announcements?
-
I would like to know that too.
-
Ok. Der Werwolf manga is one. Now I'm just missing 3.
-
@lighthawk96 Imouza, "We're just friends but she's the cutest", and thr 27yo "JK" one we were expectiong.

27yo "JK
Thanks. But that only makes 6. Weren't there 7 hints. There should still be one more I think.
-
@lighthawk96 No, that makes seven. The two mangas, imouza, cutest, 27yo, sponger and apothecary. Better to just redirect you here.

Got it. Thanks!

Quite happy about this announcements panel. I think I'll read most of them. Also happy about having more romcoms.
Hopefully we'll have another Black Friday sale this month, I'll need those credits...
And with Softbank, more chances of OreShura. -
Anyone who wants more info on these, this article gives good details:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-11-14/j-novel-club-adds-5-light-novels-2-manga/.166328This is the biggest announcement for me in a long time. Love seeing more RomCom and everything here looks at least with checking out. Wish I had more time!

I wonder if Sam plans on doing a Rokujouma with the translating of Sponger Life and Tomodachi no Imouto. Lots of fan-translated series can be stiff/bad, but I thought these two were really well done. I'll definitely buy them.
