ShipTeaser

Well Misfit is a top tier licence so no complaints here

Windsagio

Is Vtuber legend 5 or 7? I could see either.

SERIES 1 HINT: Fast Demon King Immediacy
SAM'S EXTRA HINT: Anagram
SERIES: The Misfit of Demon King Academy
Solution: Fast and Immediacy are an anagram for Misfit and Academy

SERIES 2 HINT: And Let There Be Dungeons
SAM'S EXTRA HINT: God Said
SERIES: D-Genesis: Three Years after the Dungeons Appeared
Solution: Genesis 1:3 -> And God Said, Let There Be Light! - > Dungeon Genesis -> D-Genesis

SERIES 3 HINT: They Flee First
SAM'S EXTRA HINT: 4chan lingo
SERIES: VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral After Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream

SERIES: Doll-Kara
Solution: Black belt = karate, Chucky = doll

SERIES 5 HINT: Like Sailor Moon's relationship but backwards
SAM'S EXTRA HINT: Height Difference
SERIES: Gushing over Magical Girls

SAM'S EXTRA HINT: They're lying to us
SERIES: Sometimes Even Reality Is a Lie
Solution: Fake news? Metaverse?

SERIES 7 HINT: Stories of dating in Japan

Skycrawlers

Crap is putting it lightly, the guy who translated it (the owner of the pub, even) clearly does not speak English well. The scripts are borderline nonsense. Google Translate would read better...

piisfun

@tenome It might be best to avoid responding to a comment nearly a hundred pages previous in a forum thread...

Tributo

is there any news on this Novel?

I Won 4 Billion in a Lottery But I Went to Another World.

Takarakuji de 40-oku Atattanda kedo Isekai ni Ijuusuru

This is definitely not a good thread to ask that in.

Kirito

I have not kept up with Jnovel's twitch streams about their acquisitions and translations for Light Novels. Is there any news about Jnovel releasing Chivalry of a Failed Knight since Sol Press is defunct?

endoftheline

@Kirito The only announced Sol Press rescue licenses are the ones announced here: https://forums.j-novel.club/post/215059

Lily Garden

So...what are people hoping for in today new license livestream?

GeorgeMTO

@Lily-Garden not enough unlicensed material that I'm personally aware of, so I'm just hoping for some spinoffs, mostly:

Infinite Dendrogram Crow Record - spin off manga following the top ranking female duelists in the Kingdom of Altar.

Outfitter Lucia Won't Give Up - spin off novel (also has a manga) from Dahlia in Bloom following one of her friends. The world definitely seems to support a whole bunch of stories being told, and we really don't need to slow down Dahlia's romance any more than its current pace to explore that :P

jpwong

@Lily-Garden Hopes? Well I'd like JNC to suddenly announce they're picking up the one Alphapolis title I really want, but that's not realistic, so there's a Earth Star slow life title about an elf I wouldn't mind reading. Otherwise late start tamer's manga seems like it would be nice.

As long as this doesn't end up being the first livestream announcement where there are no titles at all that interest me I'll at least be satisfied.

morbelek

I'm hoping they get the license for Meshimazu Musou Online ~Enjoy a heaping debuff~. It's a manga adaption of a web novel written by Supana Onikage, the author of Lazy Dungeon Master. The first manga volume was released in February 2022.

Basically imagine if Asuna was in Sword Art Online and had a cooking skill at level negative 1000 and then accidentally weaponized it.

I don't follow WNs or fan translations so I'm out of touch with unlicenced novels.

The only license I'm specifically looking forward to would be Bookworm (fanbook 3 and the next side stories and audio dramas).

I'm also generally aware that authors of existing JNC LNs have other works which have yet to be licenced for an English translation, some of which have been mentioned in epilogues. I'd be more likely to check out a new series from an author I already enjoy so that would also be fun.

Lily Garden

It is t minus 1 day till new licensing announcements,

Y’all know my wishlist,

is there anything you guys are hoping will be in the new batch?

TheGrimLich

Bookworm Drama CD Transcript Collection, so we can at least read them.

@Lily-Garden

I don't know what's available, but I can hope for something I'll enjoy reading, on topics I wouldn't mind thinking about more.

Like, a buddy comedy about gardening robots, or a slice-of-life series from the point of view of a music composer that delves into their creative process, or a technology-appreciation series about the marvels of hydraulic pumping stations and canals or a mystery series that focuses on tracing where items found in geocaches came from using spectrometers and other high tech equipment and psychic powers.
