Like, a buddy comedy about gardening robots, or a slice-of-life series from the point of view of a music composer that delves into their creative process, or a technology-appreciation series about the marvels of hydraulic pumping stations and canals or a mystery series that focuses on tracing where items found in geocaches came from using spectrometers and other high tech equipment and psychic powers.

That could be its own light novel, like I Didn't Know What To License So I Chose 20 Overpowered Isekai Heroes And Now There Are So Many Interchangeable Harem Characters That I've Lost Track of Their Names

There are bayonets that fit into sockets. I suppose, depending upon the style of sword, one could fit into a socket on a pole creating a bladed pole arm.
Sockets can also be found upon sheaths and pommels and such for holding jewels {portable wealth] or if a magic accessory scenario magic stones, that kind of thing.
I kinda doubt it's an electrical socket thing, but who knows?

There are various titles talking about it being their 'seventh time around' or the seventh prince, these types of things.
Something where you know there were six before them.

There was an actual thing called a Sword Bayonet, where the bayonet has a long enough handle (and blade) that it could be wielded as a short sword even when it wasn't attached to the paired rifle. They saw a decent amount of use between roughly the Revolutionary/Napoleonic wars and the First World War. And there have been Light Novels set around that period (or its fantasy equivalents) before...
