There are bayonets that fit into sockets. I suppose, depending upon the style of sword, one could fit into a socket on a pole creating a bladed pole arm.
Sockets can also be found upon sheaths and pommels and such for holding jewels {portable wealth] or if a magic accessory scenario magic stones, that kind of thing.
I kinda doubt it's an electrical socket thing, but who knows?

There are various titles talking about it being their 'seventh time around' or the seventh prince, these types of things.
Something where you know there were six before them.

There was something along those lines in a work here at JNC "recently", wasn't there?
I'm flashing on having commented it being a misuse of terminology until someone provided info such as you mention, but it clearly didn't stick.
...or maybe I was the one who researched that it did exist; I'm having Wikipedia article searches suddenly flashing before my eyes related to this... Checking to see where it's been mentioned in the forum discussions might provide a possible lead if this does relate to a new license.

In case some people don't pay attention to unfollowed series, we got a batch of hints hidden in the April Fools release of "I Got Hit By a Truck But I Wasn’t Sent to Another World! What the Heck?!" for this week's upcoming announcement stream.

The only one I've managed to try and guess at myself is no skeleton haunting this place, no cursed saint remains as a Drecom title: 骨骸の剣聖が死を遂げる～呪われ聖者の学院無双～ MTL:The Skeletal Sword Saint dies ~ The Academy of Cursed Saints Musou

Maybe one of you can find one I did not.

Hajime Kanzaka has written a short tales book for the 35th anniversary of Slayers (2025). Would it be possible to translate them and combine them with novels 16 and 17 (which were already translated by JNC but are only available digitally) to release 'Slayers Collector's Edition 6' as a hardback book? Thanks!
