Ohh... That seems pretty good when you consider that Sam mentioned "the smartphone books are identical in size to Japanese tanks, 128x182" (phrasing it as identical to a JP size). I feel like he's also mentioned having multiple meetings with HJ a few times quite recently; maybe it's just lots of normal licensing meetings, but it fits the narrative for this guess.

128x182 inches? In what world is a 10 foot wide book considered a 'light' novel? Or is that the super extreme giant print edition ?

Has Haikasoru released all the Mardock books? I know they released Scramble, which I think is just 3 volumes in one?
Looks like there's a lot more Mardock stuff (at least some different titles there, like a sequel series Mardock Anonymous and Mardock, along with a prequel series focused on the city?).

Those are all Hayakawa published.
I just noticed Mardock among the top 20 lit titles for the period beginning December of last year and ending June 15th this year on Bookwalker. ヤキトリ (Yakitori?) was the highest ranked Hayakawa book in the literature category.

They didn't + I think these new series were out years after Viz's release of Scramble anyways. -
Just a thought but do any of our current clues match up with any anime next season, after all a publisher might be pushing certain series on Sam for the sake of cross promotion like what probably happened with Smartphone .

@eternal-wanderer Next season comes in... *looks at calendar*... 0 days. Even if you mean the next next one it's is kinda late for a publisher to be doing that.
Anyway, out of upcoming novel-related animes most are kadokawa and/or already licensed. Exceptions are Free! (KyoAni), something Holmes (Futabasha) and Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (Shogakukan's ShueishaShinchosha). -

Shogakukan and Shueisha are 2 different companies but Kaze GA Tsuyoku Fuiteriru is general literature novel by Shinchosha anyways...

Some Non-JNC based spec:
Wagahara and 029 (Part-Timer author + artist respectively) latest series "Yuusha No Segare" is having a volume 3 released on the 10th of July. This one stars a son who at Highschool age

Kadokawa property, so I'm thinking Yen will be probably most likely to pick it up if anyone. We shall see if that has a chance of appearing this AX (that or that newer series by the Konosuba team, Combatants Will Be Dispatched, would be nice gets I think; if Part-Timer and Konosuba have solid readership, it could be good to add more series by those teams to the mix).

Dumb question time:
Does Reverse Isekai (or heroes coming back to Earth from the other world) count as Isekai?
I think the answer is yes, that is Isekai, but I don't know. I mean, obviously a devil travelling to Earth is him Isekai'ing, but a hero returning from his Isekai experience (or being rejected from the Isekai) and just living on Earth... More murky.

@terrence Based on previous... heated discussions, there is one camp that says "reverse isekai is only when a hero returns from another world" while there is another camp that says "reverse isekai is only when something travels to 'our world' from another world."
Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.
