Acquisitions Speculation - General

@cosm1cfall It seems they have a 1 hour panel at Anime Expo tomorrow in which they will be announcing every one of their new titles... It will indeed be daunting.

Ah, I got the quote about uploading the novels during AX:
Will the prepubs for the AX announcements start the same day they’re announced? — Most of them, but honestly I might not have time to get them ALL launched immediately. Definitely..
https://twitter.com/jnovelclub/status/1003356540789719040?s=17
So yeah, just depends on how much time he has to upload them. Be interesting to see if they'll all upload every Thursday after that though (totally separate question).
-
@terrence after the announcement they will get spread out with the part 5s to their more permanent days.
Also good news everyone that “might not make it in time for AX” one made it in time.
So I guess it needs a hint or something now... okay, here goes:
“One of roots’s favorite drinks”

I think there's some difficulty related to the publisher Ichijinsha though (Wiki says they're Kodansha owned though)?
I think he said a long time ago that for Ichijinsha he'd have to go through Kodansha, but now he's got a relationship without Kodansha that shouldn't be a problem.
Ah, looks like there was some internal friction and Ichijinsha were dragging their heels, but that was over 6 months ago.
Oh, and Sam has already bid on at least one Ichijinsha title (which the author blocked) so channels are definitely open. -

ok, Dr. Pepper is the N1. Drink. THIS IS A FACT! Anyone who denies this is not a PERSON but a ROBOT ALIEN MASQUERADING AS A HUMAN.
with that in mind, I believe this hint means we will be getting a series about Doctors or Pharmacists.
PSA Time: if you see someone who does not like Dr. Pepper, remember to call Space Patrol that a Robot Alien is masquerading as a human.

There's quite a few good pharmacy Isekai / fantasy series, so I'd like that. I want Parallel World / Different World Pharmacy because I like the covers (and I'm curious about the older silver haired gal that features on most of them).
...I don't like Dr. Pepper. If I drink soda, Cream Soda is where it is at. Of course, you already knew I was a pink alien masquerading as a human. =P

“One of roots’s favorite drinks”
I'll give a few more clues I have got for this one.
roots refers to the author of Teekyuu manga.
It is an Isekai.
It is pretty good.
It has a Kurounin - someone who has worked and suffered hard to get where they are.
It is not that popular
-
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isekai_Izakaya_"Nobu" Maybe? I’m guessing beer as Root has a manga about beer, but that doesn’t cover the “worked hard to get where they got” thing, so...

Light Novels sorted by Isekai:

Have at it! You only have over 400 possible wrong guesses. =P
Edit: Dawn of the Final Day. Less than 24 hours remain.

Periscope Fireworks test:

Hopefully this means Periscope is good to go now at the convention. =D
For now... Waste time until 3:30 East Coast time.

@hak0 Honestly the first thing I thought of with the "kurounin" hint was "Kamitachi ni Hirowareta Otoko" ("The Man Picked Up By The Gods"), which matches with "isekai" and, as far as my own tastes go, is pretty good. Not sure about "not that popular", but it doesn't seem that well-known.
I have no idea about "roots's favourite drink", though, since I'm mainly only familiar with the manga version so far, and so far the primary drink-like plot development reference is the bathwater of a young maiden (which is the ingredient to make a cleaning slime), which is a little too weird.
Also it's a little too on-the-nose for "kurounin", which probably means it's not correct.
(It's apparently a Hobby Japan publication? Three volumes of the Light Novel out, I think.)
-
When it says "root's favourite drink", it could be a plant - any LN based around water?
-
Here my stab at the root's drink:
Glory to soil magic! -
@fozzedout It says roots's. More specifically, ルーツ mangaka according to @Hak0.
I would suggest bear LN but it doesn't seem 'not that popular'. -

At this point I think every title I've ever wanted licensed except Sasami-san has been licensed. Wow, what a nutty world.
The Kadokawa contract opens up so much too. Man, this is nuts!!!!
