Seven Seas - April 2020 survey available!
-
@myskaros For me, LNs take priority, that's why I didn't request any manga (even though a manga has a higher chance of getting picked up by sevenseas)
But I'd love Nanbaka to get licensed, every page is colored, how cool is that!? If I lived alone I'd definitely ask for "Why are you here sensei?" Buuttt I don't live alone and it'd be a bit embarrassing reading it π
On a different note, does Sevenseas accept novel novel requests? I recently watched an anime called "Un-Go" which I fell in love with, apparently it's adapted from a novel novel.
I kinda love Sevenseas at the moment, after all, they licensed the most action packed and plot twisted manga there has ever been, New Game! (note the sarcasm, but I love it 10/10 would waifu them all) . Am I going of topic?
-
@imilyaz if I recall I was the official translator for un-go. Great show, but the books it's sort of loosesly based on are the classic mystery books of edogawa ranpo.
I'm pretty sure most of his works have had English releases by now. -
@sam-pinansky oh I didn't know about the translations, I should sharpen my info gathering skills.
But that's cool af, you're the official translator. But now that I remember, you did mention that you subbed a few shows.I better look up those novels now, thanks for the info btw
Edit: I can't seem to find it. All I got from Wikipedia is that the anime is adapted from "Ango Sakaguchi's novel Meiji Kaika Ango Torimono-chΕ" no hints of any translations of what I could find. Any help?

The book appears to be in public domain, so at least you can access the Japanese version.

Edit: You can read it in XHTML and let Google translate it (hey, better than nothing if you have no JP text language comp).
Edit 2:
18 years, but when you get drunk, Izumiyama Toranosuke Tachibana has a bad habit of cutting down the odds and wanting to lick the maid's hoppeta
Thanks Google.

@myskaros Surprising to find someone else also read Hatsukoi Zombie. It's really an enjoyable series.
-
@terrence that's the same website I found. But I couldn't find any translations (don't seem to be any) and I wasn't that thrilled on reading a machine-based translation.
-
Hmmm... Ended up choosing "Denki-gai no Honya-san", "3-Gatsu no Lion" and "This Art Club Has a Problem".
-
Out of loyalty to J-Club (and also not realizing they take light novel suggestions) I only wrote in manga. I actually forget what the second one I wrote was, but I did put in Engaged to the Unidentified. That was a cute series.

I hope it's more the bolded. π
Remember that Seven Seas publishes J-Novel's releases physically. You never know, they could reach out to JNC for the translation of some stuff that gets requested.
Or maybe I'm an awful guy for not having loyalty to any one company and requesting stuff everywhere. At least it heightens the chance of it getting noticed. π£

My 3 requests for July:
-
In Another World With My Smartphone (Manga) [2 Volumes]
-
Rokudou-kun no Onna-tachi [5 Volumes] (Weekly manga from the same magazine that My Monster Secret was serialized in.)
-
Yumekui Merry/ Dream Eater Merry [19 Volumes]
-
-
@terrence It is. The first part is just me sucking up
-
VIZ picked up Kaguya-sama!!!
-
I voted for the month.
Classroom of the Elite
Hajimete no Gal
Death Need RoundI dunno if I should've specified light novel for the two LNs. Unsure if they have manga versions.
-
@terrence Only Classroom of the Elite currently has a manga adaption. It is currently running in the Monthly Comic Alive and it has 4 volumes out for the adaption.
-
I did this survey a while ago and I remember suggesting
Iris Zero
Cyclia = Code
I can't remember the third one.
-
@eternal-wanderer Iris Zero is a good one, I have all the books in French :french_bread:
-
August survey up.
Went with:
Gamers!
Maoyuu
I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags
-
I went with:
- Seitokai no Ichizon
- Gamers!
- Hero Union BBS
-
Does anyone nominate the same thing every month? As usual I went with
Biblia Antiquarian Bookshoop
Ryuugajou nanana no maizoukin
sakurako san no ashimoto (I didn't nominate this one last month)
-
@imilyaz I've nominated a few things in repetition, not every month, but I'm pretty positive I'll keep asking for them sometime down the road:
Urara Meirochou - only manga, didn't request any manga this month, very likely to pretty much stop requesting them
Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend
May have done Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! - Fairly certain that even apart from the company challenges (hey, they did get To Love Ru, which isn't the same company, but is still what part of Viz is), this is the least likely of all my LN wants, but I pretty much want it the most
