Volumes: 2 (last one in 2019)
Summary: Tadashi Tanaka is a typical office worker whose life comes to an abrupt end at the age of forty-one due to cancer. But instead of going to heaven, he finds himself in a world resembling medieval Europe. Much like the Middle Ages, there are no modern conveniences, people eat with their hands, and pigs roam free in the streets. Worst of all, wars between nations are an everyday occurrence. Now, Tadashi Tanaka must live his second life as Varian de Lioncourt. Can an ordinary office worker survive in this cruel world? Varian’s rise to power begins here!Comments: …It’s the LN version. Not much to really say about it. JNC got the manga version from Takeshobo, but the LN is from a different publisher.
Dunno if it even makes sense to license - there isn’t any indication that the series is actually continuing, with the most recent volume being years ago at this point, but for the sake of being comprehensive I had to put it here.

Nope. I've read enough of the manga to know with certainty I won't touch the novels. I may sometimes even read stuff like Redo of Healer but even I hold to some standards...
Curious thing though, there are rumours the novel might already have been licensed by someone. Not sure why anyone would want to but I guess there are strange tastes out there...

@Torka If you read the novel volume, I guess there's not much I can say. But if you're referring to the manga, volumes 2&3 are a magnitude 'worse' than the first. Perhaps best example of how gruesome it can get is chapter 14 in the third volume.

Going over my old recs to see if any should be updated and @Korppi I'm sorry for doubting you. I didn't read volume 2 of the manga at the time.
Given the LN's stalled, I don't see this as feasible anyway.
