the title is pretty much self explanatory , does bluesteel Blasphemer have romance/harem? the j-novel club page of bluesteel Blasphemer does not have either of those genre but by the looks of it ,it might have possibility of romance and even harem

There's definitely multiple women choosing to be by his side after volume 1. I don't know how serious he'll be with any of them / if he'll choose one.

Impressions on what I read of the main romantic lead:

Unfortunately, the girl who I believe is supposed to be the victor / best girl is a romance "blocker", so expect a lot of the same cliche scenes with them preventing anything from developing with the other partners. Personally hoping she doesn't get the guy, but eh.

The other two women fall into cliches / tropes as well, but at least they aren't tropes that super negatively affect interaction between other individuals in the triangle / quadrangle / etc.

            What @Terrence said.

In addition, I'd also say: harem, yes, romance, not so much. The girls are more eager to be with the MC than the other way around, though there's nothing novel about that. There are a number of scenes in which the MC is flustered, scenes that create misunderstandings, etc. So romantic trope events happen, but romance is not the point of this story.

Don't let that dissuade you. The world is rich in detail, the plot is intricate, and questions like "how will he get out of this mess?" don't have obvious answers. Read by all means.

Yeah, the action is reminiscent of Full Metal Alchemist.

I'd also like to add that the novel(I've only read volume 1 so far) doesn't focus on the harem from what I can remember. I wouldn't even call it a full fledged harem at this point. The girls are showing interest in the MC, but is it really their true feelings? And not more like a duty? If I said more it'd probably be spoilers... I don't like harems at all, but I did enjoy this novel

@imilyaz I think Realist Hero does a nice job with harem, it surprised me because I don't like harems either. The author for Realist Hero is really good at it tho, or at least I like to think so. As for Bluesteel I ended up dropping it, I'll probably pick it up again when I catch up with other LNs.

@hyferzftw I've still not finished volume 1 of realist hero hehe. I didn't know it would become a harem later on. I do know he gatherd a bunch of people in the beginning, but it wasn't only women. I'll just trust you that it'll be good

@imilyaz damn sorry for spoiling it :( . I really do hope you like it tho cuz it's totally different from Bluesteel with the harem situations parts.

@hyferzftw no it's okay, I didn't even see it as a spoiler. I still think that I'll enjoy it, and hearing it from someone else who don't like harem is reassuring I guess.

@devarsh-bhatt I wouldn't take the j-novel categories as being all-inclusive. Smartphone isn't listed as being harem, but is certainly is.
