The Princess and the Guillotine is the first two volumes, that incident isn't a separate arc. -
All hail the Great Sage! The words of wisdom of our divine princess shall soon spread to the masses!

Furthermore, they have Silver Link as the studio! They are the exact studio I would have picked to adapt the light novel into an anime! Given the good job they did on both the Bofuri and Bakarina anime, I have full confidence in their ability to properly adapt Mia in all her glory
No joke, as soon as we saw her reflecting on her death and vowing to prevent it I was going "This has to be Silver Link, right? Because I can already tell that they nailed it and who else would be better?" When it got to the end and I saw them in the credits I was like YUP!
@DeiLight I think I remember you saying that before... I would need to go back and reread the first two again (oh woe is me!) but it does kind of have that feel to it. Thankfully, not only did it not end there, but it developed a much deeper story as a result instead of sitting around all confused with zero idea of what to do next that results in just wasting time and words to do absolutely nothing I'm looking at you here Bakarina, story that should have just ended other than presenting whatever you ca...
Cough
Sorry, got away from me there.

I want to know how they portray the narrator. Standard deep voice?
I hope not. There is more than a little snark to be had there, so my head cannon voice is more dry and sarcastic than deep and serious. And male, oddly enough now I think about it, given that I fully subscribe to the belief that it's future Mia looking back.

New Tearmoon trailer and release date …and it’s better than the first one. Though I am going through such crazy Tearmoon withdrawals that it is possible that it is terrible, and I only think it’s great—so, I could use some confirmation here… it is fantastic, isn’t it?
-
@jazzyjeoff I was just thinking of messaging you asking for more fanfic cause my Tearmoon withdrawal is so severe...
Yes it looks fantastic! I can't wait for it! I need it now!

I thought you were posting something new, but the article you linked to is from a month ago and I'd already seen it. Then I realized nobody ever posted about it here. Oops.

@Lily-Garden
Well, I am up to 8 readable chapters on my Citrina story (readable=haven’t even looked for typos yet, and there are some transitions missing—but what I visualized is mostly there). When finished, it may be even longer than my Remno story— and that was 37 chapters!). Its working title is *Tearmoon Empire Volume 6.5 (fan fiction). You have already read chapter 2, btw.
Also, I did post a 4 chapter story about Mia’s parents a few weeks back. I was happy with it—but was still a little bummed at the lack of interest from folks. So, I stopped writing for a little while.If you are interested in reading the Citrina story, I will post a “preview chapter” or two a week, until Tearmoon starts back up. Full disclosure—while it is definitely a “Citrina story” —she is not in much of the first 8 chapters, and Bel hasn’t appeared yet at all (they will be prominent —eventually—I think). Anyway, if you are game, I will start posting on a Tearmoon schedule (Thursdays) until Tearmoon starts back up, or I run out of chapters. Doing a Tearmoon schedule will allow me to do a tiny bit of quality control—and it might be fun!
(Of course, me saying I will do this because of the Tearmoon delays, virtually guarantees that Tearmoon will start back up next week! Sort of like getting tired of waiting on your food at a restaurant, so you decide to go to the bathroom—and you get back to find your friends already eating their meals and someone obviously nibbled on your french fries. —it’s not like I would say ‘no’ if they asked, but it’s still irritating. Anyway, if Tearmoon starts back up next week, you can thank me—and get your own darn fries!) -

I'm very interested but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I did bookmark it to get to it eventually.

Chapters 1-8 are now up. I now hope to get 11 chapters in before I shut things down for a while. I am happy with the first 7 chapters. I have been working on chapter 9 for a while now —it just keeps getting longer but not more complete.. Thanks for reading!
Edit: chapters 1-8 are up, 9 should be ready by next Thursday--I will work on 2-3 additional chapters but I don't know when they will be complete.

Okay, I am sure that everyone assumed that Tearmoon Empire would be coming to crunchy roll—but the only thing that I remember them actually announcing was that there was going to be an anime—but here is an update actually saying that it will be streaming on the service.—

Crunchyroll's doing their new season announcements, and they've got this update for Tearmoon:
Tearmoon Empire
Studio: SILVER LINK.
Sub Airtime: Oct 7, Time TBA

OK, finally managed to force myself to watch the full PV, and that's a big, fat NO. Such a shame.

@Angelus
You didn't like it? It had me hopeful—it seemed well paced. I was afraid it would feel rushed. Also, it didn't seem to balk at mixing the dark and serious with the silly and slapstick—if they keep it up, while hitting Tearmoon’s warmth, I will be very pleased. -
@jazzyjeoff, thanks for the link. I was enjoying it until Uesaka Sumire started squealing near the end. She spoiled Nagatoro for me, and now I'm afraid she'll do the same for Tearmoon. It's not that I don't think she's a very talented VA, she was fantastic in Overlord, Tonikaku Kawaii and Chuunibyou, but once she lets that voice of hers go out of control it just grates.

@Angelus
Ha! I thought you were saying you disliked the extended clip of the actual anime. I was very happy with that—though, at 5 minutes it sort of goes into spoiler territory—I mean they are showing almost a quarter of the first episode there! I avoid trailers for movies that I already know that I want to watch because I hate spoilers—but dammit—this is Tearmoon—I just can’t wait! -
Well, that wasn't as bad as I was afraid it would be, in fact I quite enjoyed it on the whole. Uesaka Sumire managed (mostly) to keep her voice under control, the only really irritating thing was (as usual) the CR subs paying no attention to the official English translations. Oh well, at least they seemed to have been done by a human.

Apparently Mia faces carried over from the manga. The OP made it quite clear, and a handful of them made it into the show proper.
