After stumbling across Quof's appraisal of it, my interest in it has been peaked.
A fairly good novel that combines a traditional light novel romcom concept with fleshed out science fiction concepts, a battle against fate, and just general above average character writing. Goes much harder than one would think at first, in more ways than one - the idea of a "destined soulmate" is explored heavily, as is their past romance on a doomed world. Has been receiving rave reviews in Japan from those finishing it.

@Lily-Garden Yeah same, based on what people are saying about it, it seems to be a very good read. Maybe this could be one of those series that gets licensed one day and hopefully we get @Quof to translate it. 🙏 That would be very ideal.

Unmei no Hito is pretty good, although it's very different from Bookworm and everything. (This reminds me of wondering how many Bookworm fans might have read LDM then be put off by all the lolis and casual murder and whatnot...) The writer for Unmei no Hito is very distinctive and has a very unique creative vision which it would be interesting to see how the Western audience reacts to.
Unrelated, but there's a WN out there that's getting an LN adaptation published soon and I will shill for that harder than anything when it comes out. That one would be something I would really want to TL. Though actually getting to translate something one is interested in is somewhat rare, with so many competing publishers and brands and of course competing translators. So the chances are low for both this and that, I would guess.

But for real though, this LN seems very interesting with its sci-fi elements. I hope JNC could license it one day.
