Unable to read any manga
-
Reading on my phone using Safari, whenever I try to read any manga it loops and gets an error, and it will not load
-
What phone? It seems that older phones with less memory have troubles opening manga chapters.
For example on my old Samsung S6 I can't get any manga to open either.
-
Have you tried downloading our app? That might work better for you if your browser is unable to load manga due to technical limitations as terabyte suggested. If that's not it, can you post what phone and OS version you're on?
-
@myskaros Nope. I have issues on both browser and android app on my Samsung S6. Both work just fine on my OnePlus 8 instead.
-
@myskaros I have an Iphone 14, ios version 16.2
-
@kraezeee Have you tried logging out and then back in?
-
@LegitPancake yes, multiple times.

Just tried it on Safari on my iPhone 13, and manga did crash several times. After trying reloading a couple times, it now seems to load fine. Still definitely think the app is more optimized for manga reading.

I also just tried on my iPhone 13 with Safari and manga loads just fine. I can tap to progress faster than the images load, but they load very quickly in under a second; if you're reading each page normally that shouldn't ever be cause for concern. I'm just not seeing any obvious issue.
We'll be looking into this further, but we tested long ago when this web reader was new and we also test on our devices whenever issues are reported, and we never run into any issues like this. You can always try these things:
- Download and use the JNC app instead.
- Download a different browser (Chrome, for example).
- Use incognito/private browsing.
We don't know what each individual user has on their phone, with regards to apps installed, space and memory available, and browser extensions, so these are just some possible ways of either avoiding the issue so that you can read, or of eliminating variables to determine if your device or specific browser may be the problem.
