Expiration of novels
-
I'm confused about when novels expire. I missed reading a couple of them due to this, so I'm now out of syre with reading the series. Also, if there's a policy on this I can'tfind it. Can you provide some clarity?

You can either check the Expiring Volumes topic, or look on the volume page. For example, for this book, you can see that it says "Expires 2023-05-15"; if you go to an already-expired volume, it will simply say "Expired" instead.
Expiring prepubs is a manual process, so it usually happens on the day of or after the listed date.

Is there any way to know if a particular title will be in catchup in the future, or will I just need to drop reading the series because I missed the current volume?
-
@jjyoung We don't disclose catchup series in advance.

@myskaros Is there an expiration calendar for manga as well? The Faraway Paladin was just released on Feb 8th and it's already expired!
-
@jjyoung It looks like there isn't one for manga though I see some manga ones mentioned in the topic.
Manga I believe follows the same rules as Light Novels though, so Faraway Paladin came out on Feb 8, so the expiration would have been the 15th as I believe the typical expiration is the 15th of the month after the ebook releases.

@LurkingMcLurk Ah, missed that since it was in a different subforum.

@jjyoung Yea unfortunately the 8th of the month is the cutoff date for that month's expirations. Books that release on the 9th of the month and beyond usually expire the next month :/
