[MANGA] A story about being reborn as a baby.
-
Alternate titles: 赤ちゃんに転生した話
Author: Chacha Kiniro
Publisher: Kadokawa? (it's published in
毎日が発見/General Discoveries, which I think is an educational magazine)
Volumes: 1 (ongoing)
Synopsis:
My name is Kazufumi Nabukura (23 years old), and I work at a black company. As you might expect, the constant stress of working in a hellhole got to me and, in the middle of the night, I died from a heart attack. Then suddenly, I woke up in an empty space next to a goddess, who simply told me that I would be reincarnated. At first, I thought this is a miracle - after all, being reborn with all your thoughts intact is a cheat situation, right? And so I was reincarnated, pushed straight out of my new mother as a newborn baby (0 years old).
But wait… why can’t I see anything well? Why can’t I move? In fact, all I can do is eat and cry and soil myself! Could it be… that being a baby is even harder than working at a black company?
First starting out as a Twitter webcomic before being serialized, this part-comedy-part-educational childcare manga - supervised by an active pediatrician - aims to describe what being a baby is really like.
Comments: I saw this as one of the titles in Kado's 2023 Next Manga Awards and the concept interested me enough to try and read it. I know that JNC is no slouch when it comes to doing reincarnation-based manga, but it's nice to see a more realistic take on things. Plus it's popular on Twitter for childcare, to show new parents what to expect from their babies, so there's that. It also apparently does well enough that it got its own music video?
