Issue With Notifications

I've noticed issues with notifications for awhile now but they've gotten noticeably worse over the past couple days. Normally I just get notifications that inexplicably skip over 90% of the new posts in an active thread which, I assume, is due to the site's caching settings. But the last couple days I've repeatedly gotten notifications that won't appear in the notification pane at all. Instead I have to click
All Notificationsand when I click the notifications there, they end up taking me to posts that are like three weeks old instead of the new posts they should be linking to. The normal issue is annoying enough but this is making the site kind of unusable. -
Notifications are kinda messed up, it happened after they upgraded the NodeBB forum to a new version. I haven't received an email notification in more than a year from this forum. I've reported it a few times already, but... 🙄

...maybe I should look at account settings, I've never received one concerning the forums.
I've only been here a couple of years, I think?Ah.
I set notifications to not send email when I set up the forum account.
I have far too many email notifications as it is. -

I'd forgotten that that was even a thing since I've only ever very rarely received any and the last one was maybe six months after I'd registered on the site.
