Catch Up Titles (April)
-
I've got a lot to read this month, and some important real life stuff, but I'd like to catch up on some of Saved Too Many gals.
I'm curious if any particular volumes feel more significant than others? Because maybe I'll just jump into a really good one.
-
Perhaps Siskan being on catch-up means volume four, the mythical holy grail of j-novel.club is soon to be released!!!

Did you not check the prepubs recently... Neither did I, but a poster mentioned it is back a day or two ago. xD

Whaaaaaa...?! You’re right! I find Siskan reads great in small weekly doses so I always prepub it. Wonderful news!!!
-
Well, guess it's time to finally give SisKan a shot.
-
Oh, two things I haven't read this month? Totally snowed under with stuff to read, hope I can at least get to one of these two.
-
Just finished Little Apocalypse 4 and of all the clueless harem protagonists I have read/watched over the years Rekka is, hands down, the thickest brick in the yard.
The only justification I can see is deliberately ignoring the romantic statements of the 'heroines' so he doesn't end up hiding in his room curled up and whimpering under the covers.
-
@steelblaidd ikr? he even knows already that down the line all these girls will start an interdimensional war over him. His denseness is black hole-tier.
-
@paulnamida @Steelblaidd Actually, I think R's interference has substantially altered the future.
Unless I read that wrong. Or a critical mass is reached and the War starts a whole lot sooner than expected.
Either way, hilarity will ensue.
-
I like Littel Apocalypse’s dense MC a lot. His mental density regarding girls is where lots of the humor arises. I view the series as a zany hijinx series that works better the more absurd it is. That said, I’m a few volumes behind I think so need to catch up.
-
I read some manga chapters quite a while back so I'm interested in it for sure. I'm gonna finish How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord (Vol 2) which expires sooner, and then I'll start catching up on it too.
-
@the-green-death I just finished volume 2. I'm not sure if he's totally dense (kind of doubt that because he knows when a girl has her boobs pressed against him) or terrified that he will die a rapid death if he actually picks one of them so he acts like he hasn't got a clue.
-
@paul-nebeling Pretty sure terrified is a BIG part of it. Same problem as Ichika over in Infinite Stratos, TsunTsun is counter productive. Though I think they are proportionally less common in Rekkas group.
-
@steelblaidd If I were Rekka with his bloodline by around volume 3 I'd have such crippling PTSD I wouldn't be able to leave my damn room let alone talk to a girl.
-
@steelblaidd There's certainly a major difference in quantity there. Ichika (currently) only has three girls fighting over him, but absolutely has a much larger pool (the entire high school) eyeballing him. Rekka, on the other hand, already has seven (As of Volume 3. I'm sure the count keeps growing.) girls fighting over him, and every girl he meets will (potentially) get added to that group thanks to R's interference.
Edit to add: As I'm reading volume 5, I'm more convinced that Rekka's "denseness" is 20% actually being dense, 30% R just implying that he's dense, and 50% him not wanting to die painfully.
-
So I guess Sam is just a bit late again this month?
-
@legitpancake looks like it :P
I think the next titles on catch up could be two of these:
- How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord (since volume 4 is coming soon)
- Outbreak Company (since volume 4 is being translated )
- Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (9 volumes of catch up would be quite a lot lol)
Those have never been on catch up if I'm not mistaken, and the other series are either too new (with only a couple volumes) or already complete. I think How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom could be on catch up for July instead, since volume 7 comes out at the end of June.
