What are the votes that you see in the forum for each topic?
-
I didn't see any questions pertaining to this when I searched the forum so I decided to ask here. I hope this is the correct category. I use the desktop version of the forums and when I see all my unread topics, in addition to the view count and post count, I see a vote count. What does that mean? And how can you vote for a topic? I don't see an option to do that anywhere on the forum website.

@saidahgilbert The up arrow in the bottom right is an upvote, similar to Reddit or other social media.
-
@saffire I don't mean for the posts in each topic (thread?).
-
I assume it's the cumulative number of (up)votes across all posts in thread.
-
@saidahgilbert It's the upvotes for the first post of the thread.
-
@Shiny Actually, it's the number of upvotes on the initial post in the thread.

Ah that's quite useful for things like suggestions forums.

Ohhhhh. I see. Thanks for the answer.
Edit: No wonder I was confused. That's the only count that doesn't pertain to the whole topic but merely the first post in a topic.
