Any news if the latest book will be translated?

It's still relatively soon after it released in Japan though, after a very long gap. I'd assume no news is good news for slow progression in the background.

Not official, I don't work here:
JNC has never dropped a series or failed to license the next volume...eventually. The exception being New Life+ where the Japanese publisher pulled the whole series from publication in Japan too.
New-in-Japan volumes can take 6+ months to reach prepub. License negotiations, getting the materials, putting together the translation team and scheduling their work.

Just reopened my kindle and started rereading this series in conjunction with the manga and I just admit, I do miss it.
Probably one of the pitfalls of the success of J-Novel, the chance for this series to pop up on the reread list more than once a year has definitely decreased so many will not get as much opportunity to have a read and enjoy it.Hopefully the series begins translation in the summer...

With season 2 of the anime later this year I'd imagine that they'll want the anime bump so yeah, hopefully soonish.

Catch-up was what got me hooked. In the anime the first sequence with the Zero Kirisame personality was too silly for me on first watch and I gave up on it. I gave the LN a try on catch-up and it was easier to take with more context so I kept reading. Now I own all the LNs and am looking forward to volume 9 later this year.

The worst part is that even when it starts we'll have to wait 8-14 weeks to it to finish. I want it all, nowwwwww! (whining)
